  • these processes only support people as consumers ignoring the fact that we as citizens have value that is above and beyond our ability to make and spend money...I could go on but anyone reading this ultimately already knows this ...feel free to respond ....the exchange of ideas would definitely be interesting

  • I got some meat! I'll feed all the ladies of the world

  • @MyWillyboi well they can culture cells from there to make steaks... but would you want them taking the culture sample (snip) ^_^

  • This vitro meat reminds me of Resident Evil. Horror reality.

  • @frijebai nothing horrible about it. Starving to death is preferable?

  • eat it yourself sick

  • Fuck u

  • On no! I think there is a real danger of vegans being knocked off their righteous high horses by this technology.

  • Sort of reminds me of that old movie, "Soylent Green"!

  • @nhralph 'Soylent Green' was about food shortages and was using human eugenics to make up for the food supply. This is more of total opposite of that film - making more abundant, quality and cheaper food supply using bio-genics technology base on natural and organic vegetation as its compositions.

  • a humans just dont eat meat, its so goddamn simple

  • @marxistmanglermango that won't work.

  • @PinkProgram why not? I think it will people jst dont want to cu theyre goddamn lay and dont have a strong will, fatty pants

  • @marxistmanglermango humans are omnivores. You get sick without at least a little meat to supplement your diets. My Host has trouble digesting plants so we are mostly carnivorous by necessity ^_^ Strict vegans suffer heart disease from malnutrition. Ovo Lacto vegans are a little better but meat is the easiest way to get proper nutrition. Aquaculture requires the growth of fish, which are a good source of essential fatty acids and vitamins ;3

  • @PinkProgram I've heard the science and have witnessed both, very healthy 20, 30 plus year vegans and veggies and also people that yeah had to go back to eating meat heavily, I think that men because they have more iron can do it easier than women alot of women get weak and then theyre told to go back to eating meat, I honestly dont know what is scientifically best, BUT i do know you Can live a heathly life on no meat. It can be done, but most people dont do it they eventually go back to meat

  • I have some meat for you.

  • kinder to animals.

  • I can think of one good reason for this technology: WHALE MEAT! Maybe this will get the Japanese to stop whaling once and for all.

  • @dkim68 I also think red tuna. We can make a list of species that really need us to overcome the yuck factor.

  • @dkim68

The whaling is more about Japan telling other countries they are still sovereign and will decide what is best for them. I actually dislike the current whaling systems as there are small villages that actually depend on whaling to survive that are struggling to exist because of the current bureaucracy involved.

  • Is that CNN watermark for real? This doesn't seem like a real CNN segment. More like an infomercial for New Harvest.

  • But does this meat limited of lengt of growing because if this just keep on growing i hope that this will not effect human flesh and become human beef/meat aswell?

  • We don't need this stuff. We can just become vegan.

  • @marcluc1988 that would be detrimental to mental evolution. If you humans stop eating meat then after a few generations your brains will suffer...

  • @PinkProgram I see you're no expert on evolution! Or nutrition either, for that matter.

  • @marcluc1988 moreso than you apparently. You monkeys need a lot of protein to maintain proper brain growth. Even chimps occassionally supplement their diets with meat. You probably think vegan cat food is a good idea then even though cats are exclusively carnivorous...

If there is a sustainable humane way of obtaining meat then why do you have a problem? Its just like tearing off and eating the reproductive organs of plants...

  • @PinkProgram If you think evolution occurs 'in a few generations' (which is what you put) then you're not at all knowledgeable.

It's not sustainable. That's the point. Livestock farming is killing the planet.

Chimps DON'T supplement their diet with meat. It's a RITUAL killing. Nothing to do with nutrition. None of the females get any of the meat. It's a 'male ritual' thing.

I thought this was about humans. Now you bring in cats. Why?

  • @marcluc1988 oh please, a few generations can get entirely new breeds of dogs. Humans aren't special. As to the chimps, is it ritual killing when they eat termites? Last time I checked termites are made of protein. The eating of other primates is an alpha ritual. The alpha male eats the most meat from the hunt. As to livestock farming, all farming is damaging to the earth's carbon cycle. Meat grown in a bioreactor is not. It only takes one or two seed animals to stock a bioreactor.

  • @PinkProgram You didn't say 'breed'; which would normally be described a 'race' in humans, you said MENTALITY! Do you seriously think that the human brain is very different from that of humans 200 years ago? No. The human brain took millions of years to come about.

Last time I checked, fruit and vegetables contain protein. Champanzees don't eat termites for protein. They eat them for vitamin B12. Guess what! Vegans get B12 from yeast - which is not an animal.

  • @PinkProgram At the end of the day, what you're going on about is totally irrelevant to my veganism. You're talking some sense but you're off-track.

Thanks for your viewpoints but I'm not going to continue this pointless discussion.

  • @marcluc1988 what I am "going on about" is relevant to the video and humanity in general. A single vegan is irrelevant to coming up with sustainable and humane ways to feed non-vegans. Human brains have actually been getting smaller for the last 10,000 years, mostly because they are getting more efficient. Without protein and fatty acid intake it won't take very long for mental development to suffer ^_^

  • Go venus project go

  • No thank you, I will just eat meat from animals.

  • thanks for making the video... The first on the list -in vitro cultured meat production- was named one of Time Magazine's 50 best new ideas. With more people thinking about it- talking about - (and funding it) we can be using this technology!

  • we are not using these products due to th efact that most ppl dont even kno about these stuff and their too lazy but ppl like us dat wanns ave the world are awesome

  • maybe we are going wrong by dumping sewage in the ocean. Makes no sense & totally dumb. Human waste should go into the ground to fertilize our land grown food that way we wouldnt pollute soil with chemical fertilizers. It's our way of life that is wrong

  • @14CPO Good point, but sewage water contains much detergents that would poison the ground. Sewage water must be cleared and the "mud" recycled, I don't know how it can be however Landfill ? Combustible ? I heard some chicken farmers used it as chicken food, since they grow chickens in cages where they can't make a step or spread a wing, nothing must seem to be wrong to them ; don't worry, they've been sued.

  • Absolutely awesome! Great sustainable solutions!
