@kwiat77 I dont think the story and script has issues at all, as the whole point is simple, a suicidal man is talking to a 6 year-old child and the child uses her imagination, so of course it supposed to be childish & childlike, but Tarsem made it in a brilliantly tasteful way.
I dont see why it needs a complicated, larger-than-life plot and bombastic dialogue when interacting with a baby.
I thought it was a brilliant movie. Some flaws in the script/story - but I certainly didn't think it was rubbish. The film was spectacular, hands down. I really felt that the sript/story were secondary because the visulas were just so sumptuous. Great movie. And Beethoven's 7th Symphony is mezmerizing.
produced by Spike Jonze and David Fincher?? you mean presented by Spike Jonze and David Fincher. Here are the producers. imdb is a handy tool Produced by Roberto Bakker .... line producer Lionel Kopp .... co-producer Ray Leakey .... associate producer Laurette Marais .... line producer Ajit Singh .... executive producer Tarsem Singh .... producer (as Tarsem) Nico Soultanakis .... co-producer Tommy Turtle .... executive producer yes a great movie indeed!
And a great release on blu-ray. It's actually not bare-bones at all, has a lot of behind-the-scenes footage and looks, of course, amazing. The purchase of a high-def television and blu-ray player (or playstation 3) is justified just by seeing this film alone.
The Fall is a real treat for the senses. The story, script has some issues, but yes - the feel and sound of the film is superb.

Nice catch on the camera obscura, I never noticed. What a great way to start off the main plot.
