Ummmmmmmmmmmmm....... I don't feel like visiting Jordan, no offense! I don't want to be shot while walking in Amman like some western tourists were a few years ago. I mean, if it happens to others, than it can happen to me too! Since I don't have body guards to walk with me all the time (thank goodness for being free) I know that I can be shot anywhere in the world! But I still don't feel safe at all in the middle east, no offense!

Have just returned from Jordan. I already miss this country & really want to go back. The country is beautiful, the history is tremendous, people are nice and hospitable. But there one "but" (there are several buts, but this one is the greatest "but") While most people are nice and polite, there r some (even in Amman) who have a weird reaction to a light-haired girl appearing on the street (I even covered my hair - it has not helped) by whistling and giving very rude comments. Can it be helped?

Olga, sorry about that. It's not your hair color, there are Arab women with light hair. Some Arab men feel they have to make comments to a pretty woman. Some even sing! My Arab sister received the same treatment when she visited Dubai. Try to ignore it. If you have a male friend as a travel companion, they assume he may be your husband or relative and probably won't say anything to you.

But I'm glad you liked Jordan!
