  • THANK YOU !!! SOOOOO MUCH !!!!

  • how much listering? thank you for sharing, hope this helps

  • this really works..thnks..

  • really liked this video because if you 12 as i am, those ingridients are most likely going to be in your home so i just treated my hair with liceMD and its still damp but after it dries i think im going to try your remidy

  • can we use plastic bag by replacing shower cap?? we dont gt heree easily..!:(

  • marketing?

  • would it be okay if I use a plastic bag other than a shower cap?

  • Ive been fighting this problem for over a year now...Im completely fed up. Spent hundreds of dollars, breathed toxic fumes one to many times...Tried natural over the counter products all futile. Im very tired of scratching, and bleeding. I need to give this a try. Its My last chance. I hope its not to harsh. My hair is long, dry, and bleached. :(

  • does this really work,, like have you had any more after that..

    pleasseee reply!!

  • Why don't You try Goldgeist Forte? It's thought to fight/kill lice immediately and is better (and cheaper in the long-run) than any of the so-called home-remedies. It's smelling just like hairwater from Birkin, being a foaming liquid. Are You sure Listerine doesn't damage (bleach) Your hair? By far Goldgeist is the best (being like atombomb) for the lice!

  • can i use mayonase

  • Can you use the listerine which does not have alcohol?...

  • do other mouthwash will do?..please reply...i do need to know..i got a horrible hair with lice and nits on it..plsss

  • @slickviollan69 get some lice treatment at CVS mine were full grown but still worked... get a layer or 2 cut off yer head and keep on doing the treatment a few weeks after... try not to itch much it helps... if you need to itch itch around it andor pullthem out when you do... once you pull the lice nits or eggs out, rap them in a papertowel and then dispose of them in the dumpster, wash yer hair IN THE SHOWER scrub hard with nails and then rinse the shower thuroly :)

  • @slickviollan69 I havent tried any other brand - but I suppose not as it is probably the alcohol in it that stuns the louse. Try it and let me know how it goes! :)

  • @AussieCoolGurl how much would i need to use on my hair ? a cap full a couple of sprays or just drench it in it adn wash it off after so long can you help me more?

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH! So I rinse with the vinegar after I rinse out the listerine? But do I rinse out the vinegar after or before I come through it?

  • i wish i knew this treatment years ago cuz my dad just shaved my head XD about three years ago an dmy hair is still shotr cuz i have found out that i dont get nits with shorter hair XD

  • the lousebuster kills 99.2% of the nits and 87% of the lice. look for licelifters near you for more information

  • will this damage colored hair, my grandaughter has them and I am unsure but wanted to do a preventative. Thanks,

  • @cmakennancy no it does not.

  • we've been working on some natural remedies for the last few years and have had a lot of success, trial and error seems the only way to figure these things out... we made a how to video on our youtube page, using olive oil and cinnamon and some other natural ingredients.

  • thankyou

  • does it matter what kind u use?

  • @ImNotSorryInc And then wait years for it to grow back? >.<

  • thanks

  • do you wash off the viniger and if u do how many minuetes do u wait

  • aUSSIEcOOLgURL,

this video really helped me alot. in the last 36 hours i've been dealing with this mess. I too bing'd the internet to find alot of solutions. i did the mayo, olive oil, vinegar, combing, i'll go into town this a.m. and get another shower cap and LISTERINE!!

i appreciate the time and efforts of your sharing. Velma

  • @noobhelper100 Yes it did work

  • i know a remidy.

Rub meat in your hair 'till it starts to stink

Let it sit for an hour then wash it off in the sink

Then take some mayonnaise and rub it into your roots

Wipe it all off on an old pair of boots.

Spin in a circle, clap your hands twice

Now you 'aint got any.... lice

  • ive had them for 3 weeks now and its driving me insane!! im doin the olive oil right now so if/when this doesnt work ill do the listerine and vinager!!! thanx so much! :)

  • I've had lice for two weeks. They won't go away! My work won't let me come back until tehy are completely gone. So I think I'm gonna t this treatmewnt. I REALLy hope it works. :/

  • thank you i have had an on and off case of nits for 5 years and whenever i think i got rid of them a week later they came back but cos of this treatment i got rid of them and have been clear for a month!!!!

  • @1988fox50 This works guys, it really does. I did it at night after watching the video, then I woke up, with funny smelling hair, and decided to wash it out and straighten my hair, we found dead ones and such and then we ended up getting out most of them. I did it 2 more times after that, just to be sure, but yeah it works wonderful and you should def. try it!

  • @kkanadian hi, how much listening did you use, and when applying vinegar did you rinse of of left throughout the night? tnx

  • do you maybe know how to prevent from having head lice

  • @funnygirltoo blow dry and/or straighten your hair a lot..(:

  • @Opal972 oh, well i straighten my hair everyday :D

  • THANKS

  • we have lice going around our school and this is the only video i could find out how to remove them....... it really helped if i got them and give good adivce to friends!

  • weve used everything from hair gel to mayonaise...put it on and let it sit for bout 4-8 hours....comb out! works every time :)

  • does it have to listerine? or can it be any mouth wash?

  • Currently have mouthwash in my hair.... it's like cooling! and burning! and idk! PRAY THIS WORKS FOR ME. AHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • @kkanadian did it by chance?

  • @kkanadian did it work ??

  • @kkanadian did it work? reply as fast as u can at an account called noobhelper100

    thanks.

  • thanks for you help, ive recently just found out i got them =( not happy and ive just got myself some dreadlocks about a month ago, and i was an everything (dreads aint dirty). would you still recommend the listerine and white vinegar?

  • @AChrisPoultonFilm :( I "googled" how to remove them from dreadlocks and most of them said put either petroleum jelly or coconut/vegetable oil on your whole head (scalp included) and leave for 12-24 hours then shampoo with dish detergent. The one with the petroleum jelly said do a final rinse with vinegar - as it helps break down the "glue" the eggs are attached to the hair with. Be careful in your choice - maybe visit a hair salon for advice. Good luck - let me know how you go!

  • @AChrisPoultonFilm The lice shampoo wasn't working for us, and we read somewhere that an enzyme will make them shed their exoskeletons too soon and they die. We mixed some hair conditioner with a couple of spoons of meat tenderizer dissolved in vinegar. We put it on with a plastic bag over her hair for 30 minutes, after that, we just had to comb and pick them out. This also worked for our friends whose daughter got them.

  • thank you ive had it for about a month a year thank u plz help me

  • Does it hurt to put vinegar?

    And what kind of vinegar?

    Thanks a lot! :3

  • @mariepellejo no it doesnt....my grandma used to wash my hair with vinegar just to make my hair shinny lol...it makes your hair feel good (just make sure you have no cuts)

  • does it have to be Listerine or can it be any mouthwash?

  • does it have to be Listerine or can iy be any mouthwash?

  • In our home we used cooking oil, we put a bunch on then massaged it in to the hair and then wrapped our head and hair in a plastic grocery bag and tied it up .. let it sit for about and hour, this suffocates them. Any way then wash it out with shampoo . we only had to do this once. It worked like a charm. My grandmother said in the old days they used kerosene. I guess its the oil that kills them.

    Good Luck

  • @whitehog69 oh sure!Oil kills them! Also heat does too.We used to put petrol on and it worked!!but not a long ago we tried this again it hadn't the same result :(

  • My stupid sister brought her little dirty friend over and she had lice. I hope i dont have any

  • thanks for that been spending a fortune on products that dont work, I will try the listerine today

  • you really surprised me at the beginning that I was about to jump and hide,

nice video, I had it once and have it again with an uknown source, my problem is that my country is Madagascar and does not have any shops with lace remedies or something

  • @lovemakeup786 yeah I know about it, I've done it before, but not really good at it, but I'll give it a shot thanks :)

  • THank you so much!! And god bless you!!!! Can i use ANY listerine mouthwash?

  • did the treatment and it was a success, until they came back. I didn't get all the eggs out of my hair, so I have listerine in my hair right now lol. but hopefully this time they'll be gone for good. thanks AussieCoolGurl for helping out. :)

  • @livimason434 Hey you can kill the eggs by burning them with a hair straightner!!!! BEST METHOD!!! take small strands of hair n run the straightner through!

  • instead of lice i call them blood sucking vampires ^^

  • @sweetcakexdd haha !! i laugh a lot :)) !! BLOOD SUCKING VAMPIRE'S LOL ! :) you know what i hate people that says "you're disgusting or yuck" i wish they choose to help us than to tell us how dirty people with lice i hate them do you agree ? :)

  • Aah thank you! I'm really hoping this works cause I have a friend that recently got lice and she claims and I quote "I've been trying everything!" which I know was a lie xD but I still got lice from her when I avoided contact. (Shows how well she cleans) Lol How long do I keep the Listerine in my hair?

  • Thanks for the tip i will defenately try it!!! i'm so tired of my baby girl having those nasty bugs in her hair... THANKS!

  • Apple cider vinegar works to kill fleas and their eggs.

Keep your hair wet with ACV for an hour then shampoo. it worked on my children

  • @jobrofan85 wow, feel bad for you :( I've only had it for almost 4 months, tried EVERYTHING!! nothing's working, but am gonna try this and if works, I'm gonna thank her!! lol probably gonna keep mine in for maybe 2 1/2 to 3 hours max. just in case. Good luck.

  • wow I didn't know that lol I have lice again and it's buggging me so freaking bad, I have long hair so I def don't wanna cut it short so I'll try the listerine idea. hope this gets rid of them for good, I've tried everything!

  • @livimason434 I have had it almost a year and it will not just go away.... I have tried Pert shampoo and Listerine, but I never left it in for two hours.. I will try this idea....

  • It worked! thanx aussiecoolgurl!

  • thank you so much for that info.

  • Thankyou sooooo much..... you have been so helpful. I've tried everything and am really getting depressed about the whole thing. My daughter brought them home and gave them to me. I felt so helpless until I came across your advice. Thanks again my friend. You're a life saver :)

  • My daughter has had reoccurring head lice with long hair and like you tried alot of things. I heard the vineger dislodges the lice but the mouthwash is a new one for me, so we will try and hopefully it will work fabulously.

  • does the listerine burn or have any bad effects

  • @coolchickdil Nope. Not at all. It just smells like mouthwash is all

  • does it have to be light or can u use the color vinegar

  • Has this girl got a lisp, majorly?

  • oh my goodness! thank you so much! that was so helpful!!!!!!! :)

  • how do u know if u hve lice?????

  • you find bugs crawling all over you.

  • @dunkindoenuts your head starts itching

  • @dunkindoenuts lol. You can feel them crawling around. A 'tapping' feeling and sudden sharp pinches!! That's when they are going for your blood.

  • if none of these things work you could always pay a visit to the hair faries salons theres one in los angeles and new york and a couple of other places but they specialize in that sort of stuff they check you take out everything for you and treat your hair so that it never comes back again its hundred percent affective theres also a website for it so you can find one thats nearest to you and make an appoinment anyway all my best and hope this info is very usefull for some of you struggling

  • no head lice treatment is 100% effective. and no you cannot permanently remove head lice.

whoever told you this is severely mistaken. you can get head lice again the moment you get rid of them. its not like chicken pox.

head lice are insects. and it doesn't matter if your hair is healthy or not if you have contact with an infected person you could get head lice again.

  • i never said that they remove it and you cant ever get it again i meant that they just remove it for you of course everyone knows that its never permanent and that you can always catch it again no matter what i just meant that if your ever have problems with the pharmacy products then you could go there and they get rid of it for you.....but of course its not permanent

  • thats a good idea

  • i dont understand exactly wht she told us kindly any body write me this treatment plz plz plz

  • do i have to apply both toughter

  • if you dont want to comb comb comb you can use mayo or mayanays yes this works i dont know how long but it dose work i had to have it done when i was little so if you are laysey use mayo

  • wtf?

mayo and MAYONNAISE* are the same thing.

    It's Spelled DOES* not DOSE.

    and LAZY not LAYSEY.

  • Thank you so much for this video! My son and I are now nit-free. Yay!

  • lice sucks with 4 kids!!!!!!!!!!

  • @luv2smoke1 AMEN. I have 4 girls and we are going through it trying to get rid of them. I am definately gonna try this. I am combing out their hair every morning before school, and when they get home, and before they go to bed...

  • i wanna try this I hope this works!!!!

  • It works like a charm. I tried it on myself and my own head last night, then combed both our heads out - it got rid of EVERYTHING. It was great!!

  • did the mouth wash work? did it get rid of the nits?

  • i can see how this will kill them on your head, but what about clothes and bedding and everything else?

  • Use a portable hand steamer and spray any bedding you can't throw into the washing machine, also any furniture and the inside of your car. Vacuum afterwards. But the hot steam will kill the nits and their eggs. :D

  • i never herd of the name head louces!!

  • Wow it killed every bug on the first application! and the hair looked even healthier than before. Great post !

  • did the listerine hurt your hair ?

  • No Pain for us !

  • this is very gross

  • My head is soaking now

  • i hope this works i have them from my sister after her trip....

  • it works for real however the nits come out harder

  • @pixiepoodle1909 Try taking small sections of hair and running a hair strightner through it!

  • mkkkay so ive had head lice a couple times..got it from my sis who got it from school..the baby oil stuffs works and doesnt smell as bad as some of the other stuff...and oh yea..the way to make it like un-greasy from that oil is DISH SOAP. Like 3 or so washes and your hair is back to normal! =D

  • uummm excuse me im not trying to be mean or anything but its not ur nieces fault and shes not an inconsiderate f**k everyone gets it and i know what its like to get yelled at and stuff like that for somthing as inacent as getting lice. just sayin

  • omg i have lice

  • Yah you have it mostly right, but they are a new species that do jump like fleas, but they are not normal heas lice, these are a differant breed that are closer to rat and bird mites, rather than head lice and they did'nt all leave when you treated them with the traditional ways, was becasue they hide in the bed, car, and everywere else they can infest, thats why it takes a while to get rid of but thanks for the home remidies, I will pass it on

  • Comment removed

  • ooh well i already had them when i was 7 but we didnt use any 1 these remedys my aunt took them off by hand in 1 wek but it was really hard

  • yeah my mate called megan minns she has had nits for 5 Y E A R S and her parents no but they don't care and her mum and all her sis's have 1 part from her 18 year old sister she moved away she gave me them but i killed them she is in the same high school as me but hangs out with the nerd who has had nits for 2 years yuck.. what is this world turning into? hey?

  • Yes it is really bad Cathy! I can rememeb when my oldest daughter first got it, ugh! Soemthing else that works well is the oombs they have now, called robi combs. They zap the lice and kills them...

  • I got it in high school, it was soo gross!!! I borrowed my friends hair tie and she had it so she must have passed it on to me!!!

  • oooh no! i had it six times when i was kid... and allll that combing is so time consuming ... but i love the tip!!!

  • Six times - oh my goodness - your poor mother! The combing is the worst part of getting them out - but if you don't do it - they will never go away! Thanks for watching!

  • Great tip!! Thanks!!

  • Thanks for watching! =o]

  • hey summer...oh dear sooo sorry ive had them and nearly cried!!lol...my mum used to put a whole bottle of vinager on my hair and it hurt...lol but worked....annie xx

  • Vinegar must be the most effective in melting the "glue" - as it did an amazing job of getting all the eggs out! Thanks for watching!

  • Ive used baby oil on my daughter, we soaked it in for three hours and brushed her hair with a fine tooth comb. SHe was rid of them but to be safe we did it one more time.

  • How long did it take to wash out the baby oil? When my daughter tried the olive oil - it made her hair so greasy for days after shampooing many times! <3

  • I washed her hair once, let it dry and it looked ok, but I washed it again just to be sure it was all out.

  • Great tip! I am a mom of 4 girls too and we have had to deal with lice but I had to buy the expensive treatments and they are such a pain. We combed for hours! I will try this next time (knock on wood...hopefully there won't be a next time ;)).

  • I'm knocking with you! They were horrible - watching them crawl! YUCK! If it happens again - please do try this! Then us mums can save some time and money! Thanks for watching! <3

  • My school got it one year after summer and oh my! I didn't get it though, but all kids had to have treatment anyways. Ohhh they look like Aliens! ;)

  • So happy you didnt get them - they are horrible! Yes they do look like Aliens! he he Thanks for watching! <3

  • i've never had them but when I was younger it was going round in school and my mum put this stinky treatment in my hair just incase, I remember throwing a tantrum over it! lol. I'm actually sitting here scratching my head just thinking about it! hehe

  • Sorry - it does make you itch when people talk about them! I wanted to stay away from all those stinky treatments. So happy you didnt get them! Thanks for watching!

  • Hi cathy,we used to get sooooo many kids come in with nitts when i worked at justcuts. Some days we would get at least four come in :P

  • What about in my pubic region???...oh wait...thats crabs!!!...whats the difference???...LOL... ;)

  • That is so informative! I hope I never get lice... but if I ever get them atleast I know how to get rid of them before anything happens

  • I only wish someone had done a video when I first got them! Thanks for watching!

  • Oh I know! I'm so thankful for YouTube. Whatever problem you have there's usually a solution haha.

When you put the listerine on your head does it burn as much as when you use it as a mouth wash? haha

  • No - it dosnt burn but the fumes are soooo strong - no wonder it fumigates them! And the heat is pretty uncomfortable - but well worth it!

Yes - YouTube has become a major life saver in my life - don't know what I did without it! ha ha <3

  • Its funny i subbed to you when i am settling down and trying to have kids! Your videos are awesome and you do videos that people can use the tips :)

  • Ohhhh you're going to have fun when you have kids - all the highs and lows! ha ha Thanks for commenting - appreciate it! <3

  • Dm i got that when i was like 7 at school but dnt member what my mom did
