  • it's nice to know that the main character here is an actual working actor :) check him out, he's actually gotten work lol

  • hey check out my page it has some funny videos

  • i've just noticed they got pretty good looking actors in VFS. (uhm just don't mind me)

  • "1982" a science fiction novel? I think thats an easter egg... ;)

  • The guy named John on the train, is a awful actor, just awful.

  • Oh wait. I agreed at first, but I think he might have been doing that on purpose to have the condescending tone of a doctor talking to an old man. Which gives a little reference to it being a dream. Not sure though. XD

  • Great film!

  • i really enjoyed it!Great work, loved it.. And the music was great too.

  • well crafted

  • Yes, this reminds me the film, NOTEBOOK.

  • LOVED IT!

  • Lovin' the sound design !! awesome.

  • magnificent!

I like that I didn't see the twist coming.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you set it in the US?

It would have worked just as well with a Canadian setting.

Thank you for such an entertaining film.

    spider.

  • My guess would be, that when people think of the 30's they usualy think of the US in the 30's... US was the center of the universe at that time... Today thats just another stereotype...

  • Very well executed. An excellent student short. An excellent short period.

  • Loved this....even if it was just a dream...at least he KNEW what he wanted to do over!! The short film was nicely done...good job:)

  • haha this is the notebook

  • nice :-)

  • please some one naswer me this? so in this short did he actually go back and introduce himself to that girl or was that just a flashback, of something that he wished he would have done that day?

  • He wish if he would have done that !!

  • He wish if he would have done that !!

  • He wish if he would have done that !!

  • Beautiful!! brought tears to my eyes about what could be.....

  • beautiful short :)

    the writing was great

  • wonderful.

  • nice

  • Great picture! I like this work!

  • only complain is that the music at the end was too modern.

  • :)

    Congrats!

    I love it.

  • Great short!! One of the best i have seen

  • Awesome. Beautiful short. Great End.

  • great job

  • see this now....it's great!!

    watch?v=ebl1G__cDSM

  • Wow!! That was amazing. It had my full attention. Beautiful story too!

  • Very nice...a lot of work. Works well.

  • gosh, that was one of the best shorts i've ever seen! very good, nice work all!!

  • Outstanding!

    Very professional already!

  • Loved the color differences, the acting, the dialog, everything. I definitely like the idea of seeing life in retrospect and then changing it. This is my favorite of the VFS films I've seen.

  • pretty nice short film...excellent ^ . ^

  • Omg! Beautiful!

  • that was great!

  • Sweet.

    Wonderful short.

And the actresses/actors did their job well.

  • funny, they didn't use PA systems then to announce the train... they would just yell it out.

but there are so many details with an era film so other than that announcer thing, nice job gang! 5 stars for you...

  • Fantastic short! Definitely the best one I've seen in a very long time! Excellent work! Congrats!

  • this movie even had extras!!,a good set!

  • Wow! Very cool. I wish I could do that. I was hoping for a close up of the two faces in the first scene before the girl made her move, but otherwise very good.

  • Wonderful. Nice shot composition and color alteration. Acting is good as well, and a very nice short story.

One of the better I have seen in a while.

  • Excellent!

A person must follow his/her desires, dreams until the end and must also take the few opportunities that life brings him/her.

I've endend the short with a smile for all the day.

  • Excellent short film.

  • Good all round! It really pulled me into the story. Great job!!

  • For me fine.

  • Call me a moron but I don't get it. Beautiful looking and well edited, just fell apart at the end in my opinion. But, who am I anyway?

  • That was really good! Bravo to Andrew Sorenson! Verruh Nass

  • I love it !

  • Congratulations! Nice work!

  • nice small story really good

  • Great lighting job. Colour of past scenes is really nice.

  • some pretty amazing camera work... must have a good camera man...

  • i am really sad now.... so sad

  • that was amazing! I loved it

  • hm? i dont get it

  • was john/the doctor going for some kind of accent back in 1938? cause it really didn't work.

  • was john/the doctor going for some kind of accent back in 1938? cause it really didn't work.

  • nice acting and nice shots, the sound fx were nice but give a little more warmth to the dialog

  • THATS A PICTURE OF MY GREAT AUNT!!!!!

  • a little confusing...so he cheated on margret or something?

  • It seemed as if he and Margret weren't engaged yet. That part was confusing.

  • Clever!

  • it's awesome to see new faces in film

  • Excellent film. The quality of student films that come out of Vancouver Film School really amazes me.

A minor nitpick, but having grown up in Boston, I can safely say that Brown is not in Boston but is in Providence, Rhode Island. Didn't detract from this amazing film though, I can see you going places with this kind of work.

  • Great cinematography. It gave the film a dreamlike quality.

  • .. i dont get it. :(

  • good job !

  • That was great.

  • An excellent film. Good luck with your future efforts. Cudos to VFS. I liked the sepia tone to the photography.

  • Very well done!! The tale is about the choices we make in life and the consequences of those selections. Beautiful and Iam certain a lot of people will identify with this piece.

    Godspeed

  • What an great film!!!

  • i agree alot miss you LITTLE J.

  • wow nice, what i got was 2 live ur life w/out regrets or u'll keep thinking what u could've done and how that path would've been... every decision we make, can change our own future

  • Interesting story. The actor, from certain angles, looks very like Chevy Chase. It was a really good job, catching the dreamlike quality of the reverie.

  • I find the dialogue, or rather the way they speak a bit out of place. If one were to compare this to other period films, the speech register would sound very different ( can't remember all the words, but I think 'yea'is one example). I think the Girl was very well played though. This is a problem with short films. they need to be intense and fast in order to make a proper impact on the viewer.I this concept would have worked better in a longer film. But nevertheless, this was excellently produced.

  • A little slow for my attention span right now... but you guys at VFS do amazing work.. btw... the actress in this was really god. too bad her part was so short..

  • i cant hear well is the sound low?

or is it jus my puter?

  • I really liked the movie. However I think the plot is moving a little bit to slow.

  • oh, the paths in life we don't take....

  • another great film by VFS

  • Yet another awesome VFS film.

What's the song at the beginning?

  • on my laptop, its somewhat hard to hear them talk,

i turned up the sound too

  • it seems like a lot of the vfs vids have super low volume for some reason =(

  • I know, it's super frustrating. I just put my head phones on.

  • Wow, that is an amazing concept.

I love VFS, such great films

  • me too:)

  • i agree :) slow, but i was patient ^___^

the ending was sad, but it was still awesome

  • nice!

  • Ah that was so good :D 5 stars.

  • a little slow but the ending made up for it, keep up the great work VFS

  • Somebody tell me what happened. I got bored at 4:57 and couldn't go further. Volume was too low too.

  • Amazing how when you're young you always want to grow up; and when you're old... you'll wish the exact opposite... great story.

  • automatic 5 stars to anything from vancouver film school

  • That was a really cool story ... It's a little sad, though. I hope it was the scene in the old folks' home that was imagined, but I doubt it. :(

  • I love it!

    Greetings from norway :)

  • great film, but there's a typo on the title. Isn't it "wayfaring"?

  • awesome

  • Great!! 5 stars!

  • oooh this has potential!

  • Good film!

  • very well made as usual

    automatic 5 stars

    *****
