Cool Metroid references. "Mother My Brain Hurts" is a reference to Mother Brain. The projectile he shoots acts very similar to the Morph Ball. The initials at the bottom of the note are S.A. (Samus Aran). The note itself talks of a creature that latches itself onto an enemy's head and there's a Metroid like creature in the tube next to the corpse.
