what kind of camera mount are you using? I bought that left over 2007 that I talked about under name (pilot9r). I want to get a good mount, and would like to get this exact dash view you have.
I might be picking up a left over , 0 miles, 2007 25th anniversary color for 7600 this week. I just sold a high mileage zx9r....hope I am not let down with the loss of power...but its more practical, comfortable, and reliable.
03 VFR owner here. I agree with csmorris903 about enjoying a video without an audio track laid over it and spoiling the real sound of the motor.
Everyone can improve on technique. Those who "know everything" have a lot to learn.
Considering you have a sack golf clubs on the bike I would say it looks like a fine cruise with some spirited burst here. I can tell you had fun making this video and, just as me, could care less what others say! - engraym
For godsakes man, LEARN HOW TO DOWNSHIFT! You NEED to learn how to use the front brake and blip the throttle at the same time. Keep your rpms up and downshift smoooooothly.
I know you're letting off the throttle when you use the front brake.
@zippyfred are you a retard? you never apply your brakes while applying throttle. you don't do that in a car or bike. trail brake maybe if you're riding that hard, but you're doing nothing but wearing out your front brake faster if you apply gas and brake at same time. don't tell people what to do if you haven't a clue.
I have a 2005 VFR800 and it's great to see a video with just the sound of the motorcycle. No music. Just the sweet sound of the V4 VTEC. Good job!
As for some of the preivous posts, sure your technique could use some work, but so could most riders. Even those who are sure they know everything about riding.
I don't like the '02 and '06 model (VTEC suxx IMAO). The '98-'01, specially the '00-'01 series are really great. Well a bit overweighted, but still ok.
Nice vid. Thanks for no goofy soundtrack ruining that awesome VFR music! I have a white 2006 and listening is ALMOST as good as riding! Nice job dealing with some less than ideal road surfaces around those corners.
Nice vid, some interesting use of gears, and positioning though... leave it at that... although for those who don't ride its not as easy as ya think getting everything right... maybe some trackday experience would give this rider a tweak in the positioning and thottle use... its nearly there just needs polishing a bit... nice camera view though.

Wow... kind of scary, I cant profess to be any sort of godlike rider myself, but some of the corners taken it was pure luck he came out the other side still on two wheels.
Why is he / she not changing gear so much? especially on the straighter sections? it sounds awful!
I'd never be so dumb as to include a view of my guages/clocks as the footage then becomes evidence should he ever be tracked down by the law.
Good video. Very little wind noise, great capture of engine sounds and excellent view of road as well as gauges. Looks like you have some nice, twisty roads to play around on in your area! Try to be a little smoother with your inputs (throttle application, steering inputs). Ride safe. Thanks for sharing this vid...enjoyed it.
I would like to say not everyone can ride like rossi or Casey Stoner and even if you think your good there are ALWAYS someone better than you me included, the main thing is to go out there and do it as you belong to an exclusive clue of motorcycle riders which looks out for thier own and nod when passing. The only one who knows what's it like on a bike is the dog sticking his head out of the window.
lay off dick. some people make mistakes and others just don't have some things down. Granted blipping and gear change can be botched by a miscalculation inforce to the shifter somewhat often. in this case, holding down the clutch and looking for the right spot is probably what he did.
Great sound, what pipes? Road's brokenup, you're a hero! Ride Italy sometime, even if it's a rental, Tuscany is awesome. In video: work on yr positioning-use lane width more. Apex right handers. Enter left handrs way further out, move to right edge to see further thru, then apex to Center Line as curve opens -- sat on center line you gonna collect oncoming cars, you re-adjusted your l/hand line couple times for this reason. Love it tho. Have to vid my ride for learning. Good one Jeff! Ciao
Stock pipes, most of the sound is from the air box. It looks like I'm left since the camera is looking right to left a bit, camera is on the right side of the bike since the mount for the GPS is on the left.
I have an 03 w/4800 miles. I love this bike, Honda really helped by labeling it a sport touring bike too, your getting a real true sportbike, but only pay like $450 a year for full coverage. The only feasable sport machine for someone under 25 years old. Plus it gets about 50mpg if you keep it under V-Tec. Makes me wonder why anyone buys those little homo scooter things.
Great vid, I have the same bike, the perfect bike that does everything you could ever want. One question.. how come you have ur full beam on throughout the ride?
I'm not sure if it's just in the Midwest US, but the motorcycle safety course I took teaches bikers to keep the full beam on during the day to be more visible to others on the road.
Thank you for not putting some sort of gadawful music on the video! It's nice to watch a motorcycle video where you can actually HEAR THE MOTORCYCLE! (Novel concept, huh?)
BTW, do you always slam a bike into corners, or just on this video? :^)
I just figured it out... your '05 sounds different than my '97 because of the cams... the pre-'02s had gear-driven cams which produce a distinctive whine.
Where were you riding? I wish the roads were that empty here in Maryland.

Very nice video! I like seeing the gauges while you ride - gives a feeling that I am on the bike for the ride (ok well not quite.. but close).
I currently have a ninja 250 and am considering the VFR as my next bike. I want a good compromise between sport riding and distance riding.
