hmmm..just so you know..doing that to the fish stresses it quite a bit. Also if you never let it "spit" naturally it will eventually loose interest in breeding so let it be every 4th or 5th time it has fry at the very least...

Bought a 1" green puffer and put him in with my cichlids. I have a 5" beautiful Jack Dempsey that tried to eat him, then spit him out. 2 minutes later, the Jack is dead! Was it because of the Pufffer??

@professorxox yes the puffer fish are posinous the puffer felt threatened and gave the jack a mouth full of poison
