i am learning this song, too, but i'm until now not as good as you, but i'll try to be. well, i'm 13, but i think, i'll get it soon. it's so great to listen to you...=)
it's a great performance and she is good, but I think that this is a waltz (i.e. people dance to it) so it shouldn't have those self-intepreted ritardandos. {at least that's what I've been told}
Chopin Waltzes are NOT for dancing. Self-interpreted rubato is absolutely fine, as long as it is not overly excessive and the left hand is in strict tempo.
It is because it's a romantic period and also because when people are dancing, they also need to take a break or like a breath before moving on to the next step.
awesome...i've always loved this song although actually playing it myself it was just out of my reach--my fingers are too stubby and fat to get all those arpeggios with fluidity...so i'm jealous lol..but amazing job!
You're amazing and you're only 11! I really love the way you put emotions in it. You know when to be soft and when to be lively or firm and I love the way you slow down before accelerating softly. The last part was just so fast that it's scary but if it wasn't it sounds a bit weird.
You play well and with feeling. You have very nice presence at the piano and beautiful dress fits very well the mood of Chopin. I like the high camera angle to see your hands on the piano and it is a beautiful piano. I hope you will do more video of Chopin and please on next one let the camera come closer to you. I wish you well in China and in your performance there.
too bad..i don't have one..i haven't made one yet but i'd like to so nice idea..and good luck with concert in London..I was in an international competition and i got 2nd placa..not bad i guess..:D:D
i'm lyra and the sompetition was here in my country..Kosova..there were chinese, english, german people and stuff..:D u must have gotten tons of prices haven't u ?
So beautiful! You are very musical (like me!). I too am learning this piece. Just got home from my piano lesson. Anyway, I love the way you play with emotion. I look forward to seeing more of your videos!
Its wonderful!!!!!!!! You really rock at the piano. I've been practicing this peice for a while and you have alot of musicality (I think I spelled that wrong) KEEP GOING!!!!
Syuzanna, that was played very well. The Rachmaninov Prelude was brilliant! So much fire and energy. Your sound is very grounded and deep! A very mature sound! I look forward to hearing much more from you!
Your Welcome. :) That's awsome! I need to start practicing 4 hours every day too. You are so talented and a very inspirational person. :)When I have a day off I would practice 3 to 5 hours.
Chopin is my favorite : )
