  • for me its called circles simply coz instant party just sounds a bit naff

  • This mono version should have been released on the remastered "My Generation" CD!

  • One of my all time fave WHO tunes ... this and Can't Explain are just exemplary for the MOD period.

  • sounds like the same chords in the song "The Seeker"

  • Mod meets early psychedelia, brilliant!

  • All versions of CIRCLES are great!!!!!!

  • @MaryMungoAndMidge1 This version 'was called', 'is called' and 'always will be called 'Instant Party'.

  • I LOVE mp3iffy it WORKS just google mp3iffy.

  • how many versions of this song are there?

  • @JAYROX1969 two

  • I like John's horn. This version sounds a lot better than the others I've heard on YouTube (I'm guessing this is the mono version?)

  • Yes it is, straight off the vinyl single.

  • no doubt, the version with johns horn also has a doubled up vocals on the hook, where as in "Circles" its just rogers single voice. This version is much better has more body to it.

  • this is circles

  • This is Instant Party, which is also Circles. Look at the comment above which explains it all.

  • this song is called "circles"!! o.O

  • No, this song is called 'Instant Party' Granted it is the same song as 'Circles', but there were legal wrangles with Brunswick at the time. The song was released on different singles and EP with different names.

  • weird! in Europe there is this song, "Circles" AND a song called "Instant Party", which is a total different song!

  • It makes it confusing for us completists.

  • It's amazing how much The Who have changed over the years, you wouldn't think it was the same band !

  • It's not. The Who could never be the same band without Keith. They were my heroes from 'Can't Explain' onwards but must admit I didn't really like anything much after Quadrophenia (and I don't think that LP was as good as the earlier ones). Sad but we all move on.

  • I'm with you on "not the same without Keith"

that's why we don't play any WHO song that he wasn't a part of.

Not to say there isn't one song here and there that cuts it, 'Tea & Theatre' comes to mind, but that's a totally different WHO we're talking about.

  • Your channel is a revelation. I thought I knew my stuff , but boy , you got me beat fair n square

  • Result of a sad adolescence with far to few girls to distract me. No, there were plenty of girls, just I didn't distract them. If I knew then....
