i just put this same muffler on my 97 ga gt and eliminated the cat, sounds throaty, i was wondering though, should i also eliminated the resonater? my exhaust wasnt stock and had one on there, so cut it or not??
@btra26 So I cut out the resonator so its completely straight piped up until the muffler, no leaks but it sure does sound like i have a hole lol. i think ill through i flowmaster on and see if it changes sound. that or just get a magnaflow cat back system but i dont wanna drop that kinda money
ive got a eaton m-90 supercharged 98 grand prix and ive got the exhaust/plug wires/chip/ext and i can just barly keep up with a 6.0 gto. i think its possible to a 3400 ga to keep up or possibly beat it with a shitload of modes done to it, but not a 2.2
Sorry, but modifying a Pontiac GA is like putting perfume on a pig. Don't get me wrong - they're decent cars. I drove one myself for 7 years. But when I wanted something with a little style, I traded it in for for 2006 GTO.

You might as well since you've already eliminated the cat, just make sure you don't have emission standards you have to meet.

im going to have to say there is no way in hell you smoked a gto. turbo or not you're not beating a 5.7L V8 with a 2.2L V4. its just not happening
