The living end are so underated :( .. infact many bands are. If you want to support an upcoming Aussie band type in "Jupiter Menace" there a good band. Come on lets keep Aus rock alive people! Ive got a video on my channel of me and my mate playng origionals to if you want to check that out. Add me as a friend if you are a Musician to :D
@AdrianHiitman yeah man. it deserves a much better, more innovative video than just a performance vid. really what's the artistic point of having just a performance vid?? that's what concerts/ live vids are for. there's seriously ZERO point to a performance vid if you believe in the art of the music video. Don't judge but I'm a big MCR fan so I really appreciate a theatric music video that visualizes what the song is about. it helps people get what its about without having to know the lyrics.
the key to the whole music vs money thing is this:
the better they perform, the better their songs, the more money they make. of course this only applies once you've made it big, as a small band can play the best music on earth and still get nowhere.
my point is that the money the bigger artists make is directly related to the quality of their music.
@Sadahrah well the thing is if you're a person who's TRULY passionate about music (a lot less people actually are than the amount who claim to be) and you choose to only listen to music that you have a deep connection with you probly won't be listening to maintsream garbage. ...unless all you know and enjoy about life is partying, being cocky and a jackass, and fucking, and being in a really fuckin cheesy relationship, then generic shitty music is just for you! lol.
As awesome as Living End are, they produce some really crappy video clips. If they put a bit more into them, rather than slapping together some still shots throughout some live footage, they would probably attract more interest from those who aren't already fans, particularly in places like the US where the music industry is very competitive.
I totally agree with you - the clips don't make one bit of a difference to me - I enjoy their music for what it is.
The thing is that to the trio 'The Living End' is also a business, and it should matter (to them) if they're trying to make as much money as they can from the music they produce.
...and I assume you're not looking to make a living from it. If you are then I doubt you will do very well if you neglect good business practises.
I'm not saying that the artistic aspect to music should be abandoned - I'm just highlighting that to make a living from it you need to also take it seriously as a business - which, for example, is one reason why bands employ managers.
ur right this video isnt the slighest bit exciting.. for a title "raise the alarm" ud expect some bad ass carnage but noope live footage and mixer studios.

money is directly dependent on the music

thats bullshit dude, look at all the big over processed pop acts. brittany, etc...
they write shit songs, yet they are some of the biggest acts in the world.
the money bigger artists make is based on production, marketing, unit sales and pulling crowds.
good bands tour their asses off to make enough cash (generally from merch alone) to spend on better production crews for recordings and live shows.
unfortunately in this day & age, quality music does NOT equal cash. it doesn't work that way.

@Sadahrah Well fuckin' said!!!
If ever a band deserved credit for writting quality music and pure graft while touring, it's these boys!!!!
Got into them in 2000, and been to almost every show since and not once, even in the slighest for any reason have I been dissapointed!!!!!
Can't belive the money people fork out for main stream acts that won't even perform live???? Mugs!!!!!!!!!

Do the clips really matter? It's music man, you don't shoot a pistol at a tank man, it's meant to sound good, not look good

I see music as an art form, not another dollar-leach

Music's power to describe, compel, renew...
It's all a distant second to the offers you can't refuse.
much agreed to that friend.
Anyone remember when we used to believe
that music was a sacred place and not some fucking bank machine?
