  • chain seems dull to me,

  • @muppet6921 that is true i run a 455 rancher and with a new chain i got a 3 foot white pine from bark to bark in about 6 mins of cutting and thats only beacuse it was a step hill so i did the backcut slow to give me max time to get out of the way when she went. (it was 102 feet tall)

  • i run a 455 rancher jus bout every day cuttin anythang from 6" tn a husky ya 4 ft in diameter if ya gon run a husqvarna ya know they dont oil like other saws but then again ya do have ta adjust the oiler ta the 18 ta 20 inch bar settin........hell a sharp chain a proper placed wedge cut wouldve put that tree on the ground a helluva lot quicker but hell i reckon most folks dont realize ya r supposed ta be shootin out chips not dust....hell a 455 should run througha pine like a hot knife in butter

  • im sorry u right my screen is small

  • @quintonalame45 them plexi glass sheilds aint worth a shit. i like the mesh sheilds the best

  • that dont look like a 455 in the start of your video

  • @difficile1000 is that a joke? because if it is its stupid.

  • After posting this video, I think Husqvarna hates you even more.

  • I have a Huskvarna 455 Rancher and use Stihl 3/8 chisel chain. This tree would not have took me 20 sec. to drop. What is up with the wedge that tree is small. I have never needed to use one. And I have cut oak's over 4 foot in width and always drop them where I wanted them. This guy need's to get out of the wood's before he hurt's himself or someone else. I've been cutting sense I was 14 & I'm now 30. So I do know what I'm talking about.

  • Take a grammar lesson you dumb yank.

  • I wouldn't go around telling people you're 30 when you write like a 5th grade dropout. Asshole.

  • Sharpen that chain! I've dropped trees that size and bigger with a Craftsman 16~18" in half the time... That def wasn't the engine slowing you down, that chain was as dull as a butter knife.

  • "dull as a hoe blade"!

  • invest in a file and sharpen alot and the use of bar oil might help lol

  • Mkae sure your carburator air fuel mix is right. If it is adjusted right it should go through like a hot knife through butter... and make sure your air filter is clean... And like carrabec says... invest in a file, experiment with bar oil. There are many different brands. Where I live the POULAN brand seems to work better than the other brands. It would also help if you could learn to drop trees without a wedge.

  • dude thats embarassing.... i have a 455 dude there is no way that should have taken that long

  • You can use a wedge for dropping huge trees, but little tuny rounds like this little tree should have taken minutes with two cuts.

  • thats really embarasaing haha ..dont need a wedge for that shit haha just turn the tree where you want it to go with the cut

  • from you said in the info... a saw is a saw a good tree feller will cut the same regardless of saw. stihl and husqvarna are both very good saws

  • it looked sooooo noob

  • lmao what a bunch of retards

  • first i must say by the sound in the vid..your chain is too tight. loosen the tension a lil. sharpen the chain and go back to felling school you should not have needed a wedge to fall that tree properly......455 rancher rocks. i lovew the fuck outta mine!

  • not to bad you need some pratice. good thing you ware chaps you swing that saw around like it's a sword.

  • huskys turn more r p m s and huskys also carry 2 yr warrantys as the stihl is only a 1 yr i own a 455 and have many people borrow it who have pollen saws and smaller saws

  • i like my stihl 310 a lot more than my brothers 455 rancher

  • i iown both two but my 455 outccut the 310

  • really my 310 outcut my brothers 455 rancher

  • u cant compare a 3.5 hp saw to a 4.0 hp saw

but hell u can take a ms 270 and kick both their asses

  • czy mogłby sie ktos wypowiedziec na temat tego modelu , bo nie wiem czy warto kupic ją ?

  • good job camera man, you missed the fall.

  • Just for any other food for thought, in the video it either sounds like the chain is just too dull or you are pushing/forcing the saw to hard to work. With that size of a tree, a 455 and a GOOD SHARP chain, it should do its own work. Not bad either way, at least you got it down safely.

  • Chainsaws like all power equipment have a handful of reliable dominant brand names, BUT when it comes down to the "best" its all in personal preference. I am a Shindaiwa dealer and run a small engine repair shop in VA and I love the line of saws. Don't be confused, they don't really appeal to the loggers, but to arborists and home owners alike. I own a 357, 488 & 757, I find them to be almost unbeatable in reliability, life and performance. Again back to my point, thats personal preference.

  • what logging company do you guys work for hillbilly tree service. atleast you got it down

  • Why take so long? Why make multiple face cuts? A little to the right? From what they one guy was pointing out..... alot to the right........ Anyway, I'd say sharpen that chain and work on better tree felling and safety technique. Later!

  • wrap your thumb around the bar its the only way you have control over a saw.........Jackass

  • Yeah even thogh it wasn't a stihl, it was still a good video. Nice work!

  • Well you got it down..

Dont know why you walked all around the front of the tree when working on the felling notch..

You should be able to do that from the right side in two cuts...

Saw seemed a bit dull, they are a good all around saw for small trees...

  • got a 455 great saw /w/ sharp chain

  • nice work 5 stars

  • I've owned 2 stihl saws, a johnsered, and a husky.

    I prefer the husky.

  • i prefer jonsered and stihl

  • @JRFFRB you do realize that jonsered is the rebranded low end husqvarna saws right?

  • @joshuarugg yes now that ive been doin my research.

  • @TACANDAN

Agreed. Huskys are such great saws. Dad had a 30+ year old husky than ran like nearly new. Outside of basic maintenance, only the handle was replaced.

  • at 2min 05-07sec did the saw kick back

  • yes it did

  • the stihl ms 290 is $100 cheaper than the 455 gonna get this one hope to post a video on it later how do you post a video on youtube?

  • well first you gotta get the video then you upload it 2 your computer then u get the file name and then u click a yellow button on youtube that says upload a video and then you just follow what the instructions tell you to do.

  • my 455 kicked back so fast it was in the blink of an eye almost got cut!

  • thanks for the info jrffrb i appreciate it? good job on all your videos really know how to use a saw i might get a stihl but would rather have a husky my uncle ran over a husky with a tractor no damage then later he run over a stihl it was busted all to pieces anyway thanks for the info keep up the good work

  • Seems like your uncle has some issues with drivin over saws...

  • was that chain sharpened?

    would you recomend a husky455 or a stihl ms 290 or a ms 270

  • i think tht the chain was dull. idk though cuz it is my brothers saw. i personally would get the 290 only becuase its a little bit more power full saw. but i think that they are all in the same ball park as far as pricing goes

  • got a 455 great saw with a sharp chain

  • Stihl is not bad also the 455 dint come with Falling Marks , but the 570 Does

  • i personally like stihls i currently own 3 almost brand new stihl chainsaws

  • i Have the 455 and the 570 but the 570 is for Tree Falling and the 455 is more for small Trees and Fire Wood , but the 455 is a Badass saw because of the New Husqvarna Engines X-Torq

  • get rid of that pice of shit good job getting the 441

  • i got a 460 now and i love the saw so im thinking on trading the 441 in for another 460

  • That Thing Sounds Like A Badass, lol.

  • Thumbs need to be around handlebars. Gives some control over kickback. The angled part of the face cut first is more difficult to directionally fall and you cannot adjust the direction once started. The off-side holding wood was cut too thin. Carpenters framing square is used to confirm sights on both sides of the saw. Then those sights can be connected over the top and it can be used when doing the angled top cut as you did. You did not look up and would have flunked our basic certification.

  • wow that took all day , i could have done better with a butter knife. thats a husky there boy, learn how to use it.

  • stupid boy...

  • two words: felling sight

husky includes them for free with their saws, learn how to use them.

  • my 455 didnt come with one.

  • they are built into the saw. its the line that runs across the top.

    :)

  • wicked fell blud g unit

  • you do not know how to use a chainsaw. you should buy the stihl video

  • Looks like you got close to where you wanted it. I noticed your pie cut was leaning quite a bit. It also looks like your chain may be a bit dull. It was hard to tell but I think you took off too much holding wood on the opposite side of you.

  • Personally I use stihls but Husqy's are as good a saw. Cut your hinge about 3-4ft. from the ground..It'll give you more control and no bending and cutting will be involved. Once thats done your wedge will be alot easier to cut square. If I'm unsure of my cuts i mark the bark first with the saw and scope things out, make any adjustments before i penetrate the bark. And no more than a 45 degree angle is needed for the top cut of the wedge.

  • prolly

  • Keep practising boy, maybe the tree would have landed between those two trees if you had been using the Stihl saw? :p
