Dr. Seuss was my very favorite when i was little. I feel like i can see his influence in my poetry, minus the crazy words lol. I will always love him for this.
@LusterPurge5678 Ah yes, Dr. Seuss, I liked his books as well. In fact he inspired my short lived acting/public speaking campaign. Thanks to him and "The Butter Battle Book" I won quite a few awards for varsity poetry and prose reading and I made it to the state finals in high school.
Great thing about Dr. Seuss was I could be as wacky and as animated as I wanted with the piece and yet still scare the judges half to death with his eerie take on the Cold War. lol.
If you want to listen to more songs that the Ron Hicklin SIngers sang, look up on YouTube, for the Bedrock Rockers. It was from the Flintstones Comedy Hour from 1972-73 when Pebbles & Bamm Bamm were teenagers, and had their own rock group. During each cartoon episode, they would play music, which for a kid show, was very fun to listen to, not babyish and well performed.
The Hoober-Bloob Highway produced in 1974, All of the lyrics are written by Dr. Seuss, all music composed by Dean Elliott. The Hoober-Bloob Highway ...And That's the Way It Is, Bub West Watch-A-Ka-Tella This Is Your Life Among the Daisies That's Just the Beginning Things You Have to Know I Know the Way You Feel, Bub On the Other Hand, Though It's Fun to be a Human What Do You Do? Answer Yes or No You're a Human
The sound track is sung by the Ron Hicklin Singers, Tom and John Bahler, Sally Stevens, Jackie Ward, Ron Hicklin, and maybe Gene Morford. They sung many many commercials, movie titles, backed up many rock groups, and were the Partridge Family singers behind David Cassidy.
@regency98us I use to hear an ad for a local Catholic church's community center that sound so much like the singers here, I called them the "St. Clement's Community Singers".
This was one of Dr. Seus's tv specials that didn't originate from a book. Though some of the things you see here came from other books. I know the Tweetle Beetle skit came from "Socks Fox".

Did the boy and his dog land in the water after the off-screen chorus sings "It's so great to be alive."?
