  • haha i ended up getting a credit card and got the CDJ2000-DJM2000-CDJ2000 kit :-D its insanely awesome!! :-D .. how did you connect the keyboard to the mixer? i have a yamaha PSR-E412 and it has usb...just wondering how ya connected it to the mixer :-) please let me know :-D thanks :-D

  • @robobass25 cool! iv downgraded, after it may be high end but its actualy a complete rip off in terms of engineering so i got rid of the cdjs and mixer on ebay and got a ddj-s1. iv set up all th settings so it behaves like the real cdjs can mix exaclty like it withough the need for a screen expept for selecting songs, turned of any aids bpms and beatgrids etc. also go an akai apc-40 and built a new pc. the keyboard is running through a synth in ableton & coming from pc to mixer.

  • @icewang64 aww why did ya get rid of yours ? i love them! :-D but yeah.. if you already got other gear .. not much need for them i guess.. my old decks were just entry level stuff.. these are so much fun! :-D i ended up just using the line out from the keyboard to go into the mixer .. not the usb :-) but havent done much with that yet... just been working on the decks on there own with a HD full of tunes :-)

  • @robobass25 well iv been studying sound engineering and iv also now got more knowledge, and after unsterstading whats inside the equipment esp the cds in terms of parts and hardware i relaised how cheap the stuff is dont let the layout lights cosmetics and features fool u. also hated the direction in which pioneer was going with to many aids, features removing alot of fundemental skills of mixing etc. with the s1 i get slip mode which is the cdj900, 5 hot cues etc for 7 times less $

  • @icewang64 ah yeah cool :-) well hey :-) im loving the decks .. but yeah they did cost a shit load... but oh well

  • @robobass25 yeah if the money didnt bother u enjoy them still awesome, ill be back for em if im loaded im way low on cash lol

  • @icewang64 oh well im just paying the credit card off as i go lol ... but yeah meh .. i got them ...thats all that matters :-p

  • @robobass25 exactly just concentrate on mixing mixing and more mixing :)

  • @robobass25 there were also alot of little details the avg user would miss out in terms of 'audio quality, effects dsp etc. anyway if i was loaded and money was no object i would get them but its still a rip off. same i also was able to buy a shit load of songs on beatport etc although it got abit expensive due to beatports lame $1 extra charge for getting wavs. almost doubles the price of the songs at checkout.

  • GREAT MIX,, I HOPE I GET HALF AS GOOD AS YOU!! LOVE THE MIX !!

  • wow! ...i dont have the money .. but was gonna get a credit card just so i could get 2 of the CDJ2000 and the DJM2000 its gonna cost just over 6 grand! :-( but i think its well worth it lol! i didn't know you could plug a keyboard into it! thats AWESOME! ...when i read that only a few were shipped here i was like WTF!! .. but then i realised that this vid was posted a year ago lol .. so woot!...hopefully i can get them soon! I WANT!!!

  • all red-bull bottles from only last night, eh? :-) nice mix!

  • so pretty omg i want that mixer (=

  • i like red bull too

  • very very nice job!!

  • Hello! Great mix !! I'm trying to get this sound too that you do a 0:45 with your MIDI keyboard. How do you do? Thank you for response ! ;) @+

  • @DJJomix13 of a synth forgot which most likely a patch edited on sylenth1

  • really liking your kit aye man.

how long have you been collecting obviously this isnt you first mixer....

  • @necnenecne only herd edm for the first time in 2005 bought my first decks mid 06 and kinda started buying records from then onwards. first mixer was a behringer djx-700 lol so quickly saved up and got a djm-800. only got the djm-2000 when i got my first cdjs the cdj-2000 months ago i guess to compliment the cdjs.

  • Nice Man, Iike The Set Up Nd The RedBull's...

  • iamgreatish@icewang64 Dude. What the fuck. I asked why you started with Vinyl. Not about MP3's. I know about that stuff...

icewang64@iamgreatish rofl. im guessing u seem to think that cds r better than vinyl which iv just expained the difference. to keep it simple the vinyls (analog scource) sounds 'better' (purley subjective) to me. so since u know it all, u might want to ask this question to a professional sound engineer/producer/musician/dj & not me, a random idiot playing in his bedroom...

  • @icewang64 When did i say i knew more? I was merely making a joke....

  • @iamgreatish well if was a joke then sorry i misunderstood. anway research read around on the net anot analog and digital and signal processing and u will get ur answer to ur question, cheers.

  • @icewang64 Where did you get anything to do with Digital and Signalling processing?

  • @iamgreatish well your question is why i would use vinyl rather than a cd or wav on my cdj-2000. therefore im asuming u belive the cds and wav comming out of the cdj-2000 is better quality wise than the vinyl. the vinykl is analog. the cdj-2000 is digital. now all u have to do is research the difference between the two! and singal procession both in analog & digital devices play a big role! also research the science and fundamentls of sound which is a fair bit but will answer ur question & more

  • @icewang64 heres a hint, its got alot to do with how our ears and brain processes and interprets sound.

  • @icewang64 That wasn't my question at all....

  • @iamgreatish then what is it?.................

  • @icewang64 There's no point in explaining. If you can't figure out the first time... how the fuck do you expect to know what i'm on about the second time?

  • @iamgreatish lmao, should have done this the first time but actualy bothered to go thru ur profile and read ur other coments on other vids. wow and i thought u had a serious question. and i quote ur question "I'm sorry but, this made me laugh. You've just got the highest end gear from pioneer, awesome CDJ's and you start with Vinyl. Am i missing something?" fuck oath ur right, ur a missing a brain. why would i use vinyl first? very complex answer, it sounds beautiful comapred to the cdj-2000...

  • @icewang64 Why the hell did you get 2000's then?

  • @iamgreatish unfortunaly these days for every 50 new song releses maybe 1 or 2 make it to vinyl. which means i dont get access to much music on vinyl. had no choice but to buy cd/digital media players so the best one & the industry standard are the cdj-2000. if things were still getting pressed on vinyl i would have stuck with it. even thought it was expensive i spent alot of money just to have each track i loved on vinyl. some of them costing over US $100 each. now got the best of both worlds.

  • @djkollektivlounge google! listen and learn, work out things yourself most of the time, practise, takes time and ur perceptions of sound will change even thru ur proffesional career if u ever had one. i hardly touch em but that whould change with a few weeks holiday comin up.

  • I'm sorry but, this made me laugh. You've just got the highest end gear from pioneer, a set of the best looking, and awesome CDJ's, complemented by a stunning mixer... and you start with Vinyl. Am i missing something?

  • @iamgreatish u might want to study the science of sound or go to a studio and have a chat with a proffessional sound engineer about this. some VERY basics, when u hear someone talking beside u, its analog, if the same conversation is recorded on a cd its digital because it was converted into binary then converted again to be herd by you. to keep it short, matter of taste, vinyl has that warmer sound with natural harmonics, digital sounds harsher to the human ear with its mathematical nature.

  • @iamgreatish sorry if it was short but i limited space to type not going have a years worth of sound engineering 101 blabbered on. a good illsitration is to compare a standard 16bit wav file with a cbr 320k mp3. funny thing is most ppl who have high end gear, use mp3s, no matter what bitrate is heavily compressed. when comparing look out for the loss in dynamics, harmonics, freq response eg the tails & body of certian instruments. gota develop the ears, itl keep improving for many yrs to come

  • you are RED BULL fun ;d

  • @kelok21 now its redbull cans and mmmmmmmm omonom grape fanta.

  • @SVAHA24 Me too ;p

  • dude where do u get ur music from, what i mean is what are ur sources?

  • @darksidewarrior1995 beatport, juno download, trackitdown for wav files and vinyls r from all round the place alot of rare 2nd hand stuff can be found from discogs

  • yo im rockin two 2000's and a djm 2000 mylf trying to figure out the best way to do the mpc pad on the djm any ideas guys?

  • @mixmasterd81 not sure what u mean by mpc pad as i have mine on my keyboard, but on the djm-2000 u can go into the touch pad, select midi mode and triger samples from there which u have iether recorderd using the djm onbard sampler or sound files on ur pc.

  • wow dude...i wouldn't post up videos like this...this is horrific mixing! but nice gear...same as me except I'm still using Ableton 7, trying to learn how to control Ableton with the DJM2000 as of right now.

  • @shermanyang i know aye, im getting used to it the 2000 decks just now, i should actulay spend some time bothering to get comfy with it right now its im lucky to touch it for an hour a month, but cbf atm as it wont take long to pick up an right now learning synthesis, sound theory along with music theory and applying it to an ep im working on which is shitall time thanks to exams n shit. havent used djm as a controler but herd those x-ones 4d intergrate well & light up like a christmas tree!

  • all that quality equipment an sh it at mixing u may aswell have bought some cheep stuff till ya got a bit better lol

  • @chris25uk1 yeah totaly agree man was should have bought a behringer djx700 with their amazing shihouse eqs would have saved me 7 grand till i got better and mixed songs that are in key like everyonelse.

  • love the set up bro. Make some magic with it

  • Nice Set Up Mate

  • hey also mate were you making that melody on the fly during that first breakdown? how did you keep it synced to the music. was that coming from the keyboard itself or are you using midi?

  • @gearin01 hey man thats just comin staright out of my pc thru ableton 8, i just used the effects bpm indicator on the djm-2000 for an average bmp, can also tap in on abletons master tempo o whatver daw/sequecer u use. altho i gota eq that channel next time so it actualy fits in the mix lol, sounded awfull. i think a number of them went to clubs as priority the rest were sold on demand withug going on diplay due to the shortage, the next lot should be in just now so u should get if very soon!

  • @gearin01 it's called part of the track.

  • rob shcneider is... the DJ! rated pg 13 +... yuu bastard i'm still waiting on mine!! i think most of the 22 units were display models as well. can't wait to get it and start bustin out some mad white noses delay builds.

  • amazing!!!

  • kinda goes well with everything else doesnt it :)
