80's? Who was doing this shit in the 80's? Early 80's breaking was at it's peak of commercialization with the big break through being mills, backspins and flares. Early 80's was all about making variations off that and legwork.

Late 80's Breaking in America was stalled and most people quit. Resurgence in the 90's by west coast cats who also didn't break like this.

Neguin on the other hand was FRESHER, did sum good freezes, had better creativity rather than just some alrdy known moves/threads and better flow, Ill never deny Roxrite being prolly the cleanest bboy in the world but honestly if he tries to redo those 3 sets at the same pace that Neguin did his sets then he prolly wouldnt be as clean, so yea in my humble opinion Neguin was waaay more diverse since as we all know Roxrite never steps out of his game but also executed his sets well with good flow

Neither Neguin nor Roxrite stepped out of their comfort zone in this battle. Why? Because competing in Red Bull puts a huge amount of pressure on any breaker. Roxrite took this one, however, because his execution was flawless while he made incredibly difficult moves look easy. Neguin's speed was intense, as usual, but he didnt deliver much after his first set.

@AntidotoSoHoT I know what you mean. When I saw the battles from UK solos 2005 I didn't understand how Roxrite beat Hong 10 and Physicx but as time went on I began to see it. Roxrite has a flow and structure to his sets that is hard to explain. Just try doing some of the moves he does and you start to see how he easy he makes incredibly difficult moves look and how suddenly he can pull them off. Roxrite does it in all of his sets here, while Neguin's sets got weaker as the battle went on.

So far I'd agreed with Roxrite winning all his battles even tho a lot of people claimed that El Nino got robbed still I could easily see Roxrite winning it but on this one seriously appart from the 3rd round I dun think Roxrite did anything special to wat we all KNOW he can/usually does, its like seeing Taisuke doing his same old tricks almost evry battle, yes its ill but nothin special for being him if you dont agree then check well his 2nd set, good freezes is wat Roxrite does as we alrdy knew

Damn, Roxrite was a monster in this battle. His movements are always so ridiculously clean. Thought the music suited Roxrite's intricate style better. Neguin seemed a bit restricted by it, as if he couldn't be as explosive as he wanted to be or something...

My two cents at least.

Neguin was off and sloppy. Roxrite kept it clean, flowed, and had perfect execution. Yes, Neguin did try harder moves, but he messed up. It doesn't matter how hard what you're trying to do is if you mess up or don't have good flow. Trying isn't what gets you the vote, doing is what gets you the vote. Roxrite came out hungry every round of this competition, didn't crash once, was on beat, and flowed perfectly. He stayed at a consistently high level while the others where up and down.

But, Neguin's transitions were stalling and weren't sticking as on point as they usually were and, when going against someone like Roxrite, that one of the last things you want to have happen. He wasn't sloppy in that he was crashing, he was sloppy in that he wasn't sticking it definitively enough.

Neguin is dope and killed his 1st round, but Roxrite won the 2nd and 3rd rounds.

Fortunately for Roxrite, he used his weakest round in the 1st and saved his best for 2nd and 3rd. Neguin used all his good shit in the 1st round and was spent.

When I first got into bboying I used to think Roxrite was boring. But after learning more you appreciate the intricacies of Roxrite's style, his cleanliness, transitions/flow, and his foundation. He is amazing.

Roxrite took the last two rounds. Neguin was running out of energy and tried to win over with flips. His musicality was there but wasn't as tight as Roxrite's nor as tight as Roxrite's foundation. Roxrite had it all.

@argila33 There aren't even thousands of comments on youtube protesting the decision. While, in your point of view Neguin won, in my point of view and the Judges- Roxrite took it. Look at the last two rounds. Roxrite kept it clean and incorporated all elements of bboying. A STRONG foundation, freezes left and right (literally froze in a spot then would transition to multiple freezes) and would stay on beat. Flips can only get you so far. Neguin's energy was dying off. Roxrite stayed consistent.
