Also, there seems to be a lot of teenagers and 20 somethings making comments on Youtube about how the music we grew up on is way better than the newschool. It was when they played SL2 'On a ragga trip last night that i thought 'how the fuck would they remember that? Thanks Kisstory!
@sahlovespie I still go clubbing occasionally, and there are some good scenes out there. Obviously, you can still have a great time, but i think it was better back then. The 90s were a lot less pretentious - people cared about image, but NOTHING like they do now. All the music genres like house, garage, hip hop, hardcore and hip house were all mixed together in the same night. I had a cd collection called 'United Dance', says it all. Now the genres are all seperated and it's all become clicky.
Badass....,god my clubbing days are long gone. Was at a party last night with some of my younger friends. Although there were a few older ones (like me), the age range was generally 16-25. Some of the recent music ain't bad but to me it kinda lacks any real kick. I was pleasantly surprised though that the DJ, who was young too, played a lot of older stuff from early 90s' onwards. Maybe because 'Kisstory' has become popular with the younger crowd.
Love it.
