  • great video, so thoughtful and considerate. thorough too. you're so right you cut down in all the other areas so you can stay raw! Asante sana! Amin53362

  • Fruits and vegetables cost quite alot-especially if you buy in bulk. Organic moreso. I see Raw Foodists juicing shitloads of fruits and veggies just for one green smoothie. Okay, I realise health is of the utmost importance..but in some cases it looks as though they're juicing about $50 worth of produce per smoothie (perhaps more). Is there a way of doing the raw thing (grocerywise) cheap ? I can't afford to spend a few hundred bucks a week on fruits and veggies.

  • I LOVE YOU ENERGY!!! You make me feel like this is doable!

  • @learningorganically I agree :-)

  • My body can't take coffee anymore, but the taste is pretty good. So I just get this vanilla hazelnut tea and then add a shot of rice milk. It tastes just like coffee :)

  • halving it twice makes a whole lol

  • Do your research guys...I have heard many a food guru claim that slight steaming (cooking) of veggies actually releases more nutrients otherwise locked in (Your call) Consider eating wild game meat too once in a while (free range-orgainic *as can be* hormone and GMO free) Best wishes and caviar dreams!

  • This is so inspirational. I'm in the exact spot that you are talking about where you were! But I'm in college, with a tiny mini fridge and I'm honestly hesitant to start while I'm in school because I've heard that the detox period is hard to deal with, and at this point I need all the energy I can get. If I could get some advice on what I should do that would be great

  • u rock!!! so glad i found u!

  • Awesome video. I'm interested in raw, but just not sure how to transition. Thanks for all your advice.

  • @cecilywiggins Hey there! If you would like to join us on road to raw in January we are doing a 7 Day raw food challenge. Everything you need to transition mind, body and kitchen to raw! Xhexk it out or message me:)

  • @TheRawalicious thanks for the reply. I wanted to start the year off with a juice cleanse. Is there a science behind doing the raw food cleanse then the juice cleanse? We have a online community called Valleywood Fit Girls and we tend to do group cleanses with our virtual community, perhaps we can do one of your cleanses in the near future.

  • @cecilywiggins Its good to know what your doing and have some basic guidelines to follow by to make sure youre getting everything you need. Would love to have you girls join us! So the raw food cleanse goes from Jan 3rd to 9th, and the juice cleanse goes from Jan 10th to the 16th. Message me if you have any Q's:) xoxoxo

  • @TheRawalicious I'm in... send me the details to lugorealty@gmail.com

  • @cecilywiggins You buy fruits and vegetable and eat them raw instead of anything in a package. read the ingredients, look them up, and understand why. It helps a lot to have your own garden. Save seeds, buy vegetable seeds, use newspaper covered with mulch on your lawn, let it sit for a couple months, plant in soil not just under mulch. This adds trace minerals not found in fertilized food.

  • @cecilywiggins Spend 300 on seeds and never have to buy food again.

  • I don't think being raw is expensive to begin with. But I dislike the argument of saving money on going to the doctor. You still get sick on raw and even if you are sick, I tend to think most people do not go to the doctor unless they are baffled by what's going on.

Good point about going raw is you will have more super foods and oils that you can use for your skin care instead of buying products.

The hardest thing is "come home and make your own food". I need a miracle for THAT hah.

  • Ur right!! I don't have dark circles under my eyes anymore either. I started to be green and eat raw more, and it has been an improvement especially because I've found my FAVE herb: Lavender!!! I have questions on having a good compost routine. I just mentioned it to my mother. I think its the coolest idea. My grandmom is a compost queen cause she lives in PR but here in the city, how do u do it with no equipment and neighbors that complain :(

  • Lots of great points!

  • Love your dress! You look great! Thanks for sharing the info. :) :)

  • your dark circles dissapeared? wow! I hope mine do too! :D
