Between the end of 2003 and spring 2004, Morning Musume had 15 (after the graduation of Abe Natsumi 14) members. It was decided that they had to be splitted up in 2 groups because they could then tour through villages with small stages that couldn't handle 15 people. These 2 groups were MM Sakuragumi and MM Otomegumi. Sakuragumi was meant to sing slower songs referring to traditional japanese women while Otomegumi represented "modern women". Each group released 2 singles.

Nono wasn't part of Sakura Mankai because that song was sung only by Morning Musume Sakuragumi where Aibon was part of. Nono was in MM Otomegumi at that time ^^.
