NIX the FISHEYE. WHO's idea was it to use that? I really would like to see your version of the earth sheltered house, but at this state.....PBS or Formworks is much better at displaying their info. You are losing sales because of your tacky fisheye lens.
I'm looking at different eco building designs and materials for a new home but this one reminds me of living in a cave. It's way too dark and dreary inside. Nice idea but I'm crossing concrete homes off the list.
@skwast574 a yard of soil can weigh more than a ton depending on several factors. The structure of this house is insanely strong. The thermal mass gained from "dumping" the soil on top combined with the increased surface contact with the soil on the sides of the home =minimal energy consumption to heat/cool this house. It may not be for everybody but a lot of effort went into the design and construction of this house. It's more than just some stick-build box with a few buckets of soil on top
interesting! I agree witn previous comments re the lens the curved walls made it appear hobbitish ...i know the walls are straight still, the title does say 'custom concrete' : )
Interesting idea using concrete..

This would probably be a great video......If it wasn't for the stupid fish eye affect ruining it.

I personally like the wide angled lens

yeah, the fish eye lens effect is distracting and actually works against the feeling of spaciousness when viewing these large rooms.
other than that, I LOVE the concept of this type of home!

The fisheye lens kills this video. Bad camera call on that one.

Do you have the 36" of thermoberric insulation for energy coeffencicy? Does your house stay at about 65 degrese all year around?

I agree with bnther36; your house is lovely, but the distorted camera view was really unpleasant. I couldn't finish the vid...

Nice house, but the fish-eyed view was really distracting. Would love to see it without the strange lens affect.
