The opening and closing title music arrangement here is borrowed from the closing music at the end of 1949's "Drooler's Delight", the final Lantz cartoon for United Artists before his studio shut down for over a year. Darrel Calker scored that cartoon and had just returned to working for Lantz shortly before this cartoon came out, which probably explains how the scoring ended up here (although Clarence Wheeler gets credit for musical direction).
This probably the second time Smedley the dog deals with Woody, instead of Chilly Willy.
