The music in Sonic 3 was made by Michael Jackson. You can really tell it in the earlier levels. & anyone who ever played this game knows your pain Chimney. you're doing great though, keep it up

Actually out of all the special stages in the sonic series, this special stages in Sonic 3 is my favorite.

@Gammer901 Sonic 3, I believe, was the introduction to full 3D special stages that had the player choose their own paths rather than follow a pre-set one. So, yes, it's one of the many favorites of Sonic games out there.

To get all 7 Chaos Emeralds without having to complete their Special Stages, first enter the level select and sound test code. Go to the Sound Test and play the following tunes in order: 02, 04, 05, 06. You will hear an emerald sound if the code is entered correctly. To get Super Sonic after entering the previous code, just select any level from the level select and start it. Once you acquire 50 Rings, do a double-jump to become Super Sonic. THUMBS UP SO CHIMNEY CAN SEE

@bigal2k643 Kinda hoping that the hyper would be a surprise to him since he's never played this game fully and completed. So yeah...this game has both. Super is easy to acquire since the special stages aren't that hard to find. Hyper require sunglasses to be worn after getting it.

@bigal2k643 Well, there's multiple ways really. One way is the fast way and that using debug. The other way is during stage select and choosing one of the two special stages with "Sound 07" selected. One stage gives you the golden super emerald and access to Hyper Sonic. The other stage gives you the golden emerald and you get Super Sonic. The other ways is getting the emeralds throughout the game.

@demonkid991 That Sound Test is for Sonic 2 sadly. Sonic 3 and Knuckles has a button pattern on those swings in the first act of the first zone. After that, you'd have access to level select and the golden emeralds.
