Its true that religion has almost no evidence backing it up however when a piece of evidence, scientific evidence comes up supporting creationism, it should not be over looked. The only way our society can advance is if we take found evidence and seriously debate the facts to come to a conclusion. If we didn't we would still believe that the earth is flat. (although if evidence supporting the earth being flat comes up it should be taken seriously).

LOL. Our ancient ancestors knew for thousands of years that the Earth was round and it revovled around the sun. We need look no further back than the Dark Ages to see the effects of religion on humanity. I think this theory belongs in the category of 'junk science' lol.

This has already been debated in the scientific community and ID has no proof versus volumes of evidence in favor of evolution. These people are trying to use myth to argue against science, which is ridiculous. Abrams nails it though, I am impressed.

A snowflake APPEARS to be designed. It has all the elements. The symmetry is nearly perfect in 3 axis. The hexagonal base is always the same, yet the growth is always unique. A plasic snowflake is clearly a product of design intent, yet an ice snowflake is not. Just because something appears to be "designed" does not necessarily mean it is. But it is also true that the mates we sire our children with are the ones we select...thus selective design. It's all natural, not supernatural.

@RyanLeeParis There's a difference in saying that somthing "looks" designed and stating it "must" be designed. If you think the trees "look" designed that's your business but as soon as you want to tell my or anyone elses children you have enough proof to call it a "valid scientific theory", we have a problem. ID is NOT a valid scientific theory and therefore it shouldn't be allowed in schools as a valid opponent to Evolution. Also, everything in nature has a purpose so what do you mean?

The big bang theory and the theory of evolution have NO religious implications. They describe events and processes by using facts and evidence. They are supported by a multitude of peer reviewed articles.

Even calling ID a theory shows just how little that man knows about science, or he is being deceitful.
