@nofear4890 Its not wannabe chinese american rappers, If you grew up in America, you wouldnt learn how to sing in chinese. Think of it this way, American Born Chinese Youth are obviously going to be interested in rap and hip hop because thats whats the popular mainstream here is. So they get used to it, you cant blame them they werent born in china, and they wouldnt even know how to write a chinese song to begin with. Or be able to sing it like Leon Lai, Jacky Cheung or Andy Lau.

That's for sure and im african mixed with chinese and cherokee.loads of chinese people cant believe that I never got any lessons to speak mandarin and speak with northern accent. when I show them a picture of my father they cant believe it when they see a chinese man. I am proud of my chinese ancestry.I get told many times im too chinese they called me chocolate chinese, I love this song my sifu's favourite song.he used to play erhu and we always used drink a gazillion tea's together lol
