  • I have hatched a pigeon from an incubater and the first 2 weaks I fed him baby rice powder mixed into a soft paste threw a very small syringe and he loved it,after that I started to feed it pigeon mix taking the very small seeds out and using a tea spoon I put it in his mouth dry and then a little water after and he is doing great.

  • He's not a baby his a young one

  • aww!

  • Little goose is so beautiful :)

  • genius feeding device, what is it?

  • may i ask what u feed it? thnx

  • @615000km

I've heard that Kaytee bird formula works well.

  • lOOKS LIKE they are very hard to feed. I read that you must really know what you are doing to help them feed. Kudos to you!!!

  • I have been raising pigeons for more than 7 years, but I have never thought of hand feeding them.

However, all my pigeons were stolen and there were 11 eggs left. 3 of them hatched after 3 days , so I had to feed them by myself; they are two days old and still surviving. I am using baby's food cerelac and feed them by a spoon but it is really difficult and not effective. So, would u please tell me how to feed them using ur way taking in consideration their age.

  • Cute

  • Hi yah I've been feeding and rearing pigeons alot too. I usually use a red cloth instead of balloon or plastic. I always use Kaytee exact.

  • what are you feeding to them?

  • Hi I love your feeding tube, I rehabilitate pigeons and doves for a wildlife rehabilitation center, and I have never seen your balloon and syringe method, I am very interested in learning how you make this. Do you cut the entire bottom of the syringe? And how large of a hole in the balloon? What size balloon as compared to the syringe. This looks so nature for the bird I have used tube feeding, and syringe feeding. Any more info you can give on this method would be greatly appreciated.

  • yo man me and my friends found one baby one and we dont know what to do should we just leave it there for a cat to eat it because my mom dont let me keep it

  • aw i want your husband!!

  • what is the formula made of?

  • i am doing that at the mow

  • that is so awsome. i cut the end of a very large syringe off, and put a ballon around the end, i only cut a very small hole and my mixture is not runny at all but more like a mush, thicker than applesauce, more like soft oatmeal. how old is your pigeon? Goose is now 3 yrs old.

  • @Hoganrocks hi , i know it is 2 yrs pass, but, I found bird similary old..can you please and urgent advise me what to put in its food???? me and pigeon woul be mostly grateful :))) I am giving him mashed sunflower seed, susam, and corn..is that ok? ..I didn't try to do it this way, cause he doesn't express any wish 2 eat.just for water.so I open his peak and gently put food in foe swallow...this vid is gorgeous example of good apetite..lucky you :)

  • crazy little pidga

  • dont the formula get into the pigeons nose?

  • ....she obviously does not eat thing smaller than her nose!!(the pigeon)

  • i meant, you know how every movie i see, the formula gets on the nose of the baby pigeons, dont that go in their nose or does it only hang around there? if so how do they breathe?

  • the syringe is cut off at the top and i have a balloon aroud it. the hole cut is very small, just enough to put the birds beak into... his nostrils are where his beak ends and his feathers begin, he doesnt stick his beak in that far. I push the formula into his mouth, its not runny.. its a soft mush. its a wonderful experience to have a pigeon as a pet

  • i have a week or two yr old pigeon if u wanna see it search pepsi the baby pigeon

  • dont the formula get into the pigeons nose?

  • whats that red thing call? the one you use for feeding...

  • I cut the end of a very large syringe off and the red thing is a balloon that i put a little hole in, the baby sticks his beak into the hole and i push formula into his open mouth.. they learn very quickly and run to the feeding tube. pigeons are great and we still have goose, he flies free outside on walks with us and our dogs.

  • Ohhhh! I thought the title meant you were feeding goose meat to your pigeon! I was thinking "that's a little weird"!

  • wow, i never thought of using a super size syringe to feed a squabling. thats a great idea.

  • thats not a goose?

  • I think that "GOOSE" refers to this pets name, not the animals scientific classification ;)

  • Omigosh, that is just too adorable! I have pet chickens, and that kinda reminds me of how they eat/act!

  • I feed my pet pigeon "The Dinkster" Katee Hand Feeding Formula, with an eye dropper from the time he hatched.

  • what do you feed that little baby

  • Pigeons are great!!

  • I think so too...I wish more people thought so!

  • I have pigeons too homing pigeons. I love them.

  • A pair of pigeons (stock doves) recently moved into a kestrel nest box after the youngsters had fledged. We think there are two eggs in the nest. As of today, it looks like the first baby pigeon has hatched. We can see a bit of fluff under Mom's wing.

  • Pound for pound,....errr.. I mean ounce for ounce, there is no better pet than a pigeon!

  • i love pigeons
