Sublime song, groovy and melodic. And that keyboard part that keeps on droning is really catchy. Satriani never fails to deliver!

For the lydian/mixolydian debate, this song is neither but a vamp between the two. Technically it would be mixolydian but he lingers on lydian so much is ambigious, so yeah. It's called dream song for a reason!

@dabbisveins86 This is good input, I guess I'll see him live next.. Just started to see my favorite guitarists live. I at first couldn't decide between seeing him and seeing Steve Vai at Groningen on the 23rd of October, I ended up going to Vai's because it was the most convenient one, it was also great. I'm sure that when it comes to Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Andy Timmons, all of their live performances are incredibly awesome, the only thing that differs is the type of music they play. :D

@CREWDOG289 on tthe album, "crystal planet" theres a track called "time".....this song changes towards the end.....and i swear it almost sounds exactly like this song.....i think it has the same chords in it's progression., or very similar . chekc it out.....

@Mr Nothing 43 yeah i think he writes music over a course of years and puts it up til he does and album where it fits in with the rest of the songs, he may have had this awhile because he wrote it back then when he wrote the other album. I do know that he is one of the most tasteful virtuoso guitarists i ever seen, never "kills" the record with to much guitar and doesn't try to see how many notes he can put into a solo . His music is very alive with feeling. I like this album.

Joe is a great example of mixing technical playing and beautiful melodies. Its not only soothing to listen to, but you also get a big serving of awesome guitar playing. Now if only I could make songs like he does. :P
