That motor has lasted 3.5 years getting beat on everyday i drive the car, I built the motor to take all the abuse i throw at it. I can shift perfectly fine, and alot faster.... But a few 10ths of a sec in the 1/4 isnt worth blowing the trans up.

Lero you're correct, thanks for pointing that out about the F22a. However you CAN bolt a DOHC head onto a SOHC block, that much I know. If you google Prelittlelude and find him in some Honda forums he outlines a ton of this and talks about how he did these builds. It's possible, trust me.

It's a hybrid Honda motor swap, but basically it is an H22. The thing is it is an F22 motor block with the H22 head. The two series (F & H) share many of characteristics.

the h22 needs to be sleeved before running forged pistons whereas the f22 does not. plus if you have an f22 already all you need to buy is an h22 head and a few other random parts instead of doing an entire motor swap.
