Many of the miracles that Alfonso X attaches to the virgin, before they were assigned to Santiago. He operated that way to strengthen Toledo, its capital city, and weaken Compostela in Galicia (Galiza). Cantigas are written in Galician-Portuguese because it was the language of poetry in the XIII century.
