While FM4 is an improvement, GT5 is still unmatched in terms of the accuracy of the tracks and the details of the premium cars.

The gearshifting sound is shit, and why ppl always forget to setup the gear ratios. Most vids I see of F1 on GT5 hardly get to 7th gear on a straight, its so annoying for some reason, even 5th can cover the pit striaght. I always set my gear ratio, not just for the F10, also other cars...

After playing a few races of the demo of Forza 4 and a few laps of Laguna Seca on my GT5 which I just bought....1)Forza 4's graphics obliterate GT5. 2)GT5 feels much better driving and more fun. F4 almost felt like playing an arcade racer compared to a sim.

Not that it is, but that's the difference I felt.

Seriously? GT5 must be the worst racing game out there. It's a helluva good driving game, but I get more of a fight when I'm racing an Impreza WRX STI versus a Peugot 106 driven by a 3year old toddler in Forza.

@GTHQnl Yep and online racing on GT5 is a fucking mess! Cars glitching and ghosting and lagging all over the place! Forza on Xbox Live is smooth as hell with no stupid glitches. Forza is a LOT better than GT5

@jiltjes Yes I have goth GT5 AND Forza 4 and did spend quite a bit of time on BOTH of them just the other day with Similar Cars on a Similar Track. I got no Feeling of driving a car what so ever on GT5, it felt like a lifeless experience and like something was missing. As if the car was filled with Helium Balloons!

I know people are know their physics and even they think GT5 gets no where near being a "Simulation" and that Forza does a better job and I agree with them. on GT5 the cars feel like they have no weight and substance to them at all and glide across the track like they are on a cushion of air. Even with Racing Soft Tyres it still feels all slide happy like your driving on sheet ice... also whats with the AI? they are as woefull as ever!

@djdavedoc wrong again my friend, almost everyone who knows about physics believes gt5 is better, if u go onto expert drivign settings on forza the "simulation" setting is shit in gameplay the car feels weightless not on gt5 on gt5 "simulation" simulation settings are unbelievably close to real physics. forza is great admittidly but its like one of those things where it has everything gt5 has but everything on gt5 is a little bit better, just each individual thing even down to in game music.

Im pretty sure as well that they recently improved the engine sounds. GT5 is always being improved and if Forza is somehow better Yamauchi will blow it out of the water with an update.
