Always loved to hear this very talented woman sing, and still do. Don't share political views, but that's neither here no there. She's still a very talented person, and I still LOVE her version of this song, and have always related it with her. Long live Linda!

I interacted a few times with her as head of security and must say the word stunning does not do this woman justice!! I was in charge of security for Bill Graham productions in the San Fran bay area in the early 70s and was on stage with Linda when she did a rendition of this song with the Eagles. OMG, I still get goose bumps!!! Probably the best white singer this country has produced and she does it with talent and looks alone, unlike the wannabes of today with the ridiculous costumes ,stage props and outlandish life styles. We love you still Linda!!!

I think Wanda Jackson recorded the original. But Linda Ronstadt made the biggest hit out of it! I saw her live in Atlanta in the winter of 1977 and she put on one HECK of a show!!! And Waddy Watchell and Dan Dugmore are 2 of the finest guitar players of that era....along with Don Felder and Joe Walsh, of course!
