Sensational solo guitar work at 1:08. Does anyone know who the guitarist is??
For that matter, does anyone know who the other musicians are?? These musicians at the German concert are among the finest I have heard Ronstadt perform with.
Aaaahhhh....the sweet, mellow voice of Linda Ronstadt as it rolls over me with fond memories soaked in ripple wine and caressed by marijuana smoke. As I watched Linda live in concert in 1975 I recall the warm fuzziness of weed gently trip my thoughts to California...to Malibu....to Linda's home looking out across the splendor of the Pacific Ocean. Wooooo......such mild , mellow thoughts.
@SUlax1017 Don't let us stop You! YES! Give into that right urge you have to kill your self! DO NOT resist the urge ! You can do it!... We are rooting for you! Go Go go go go go go go !!!! Do it do it dooo ittt!!!!!!! You are doing the right thing and all those people that you have unsuccessfully to please all you life will be soooooooooo proud of you if you do! Honest! See.... it is THE right thing for you to do! Do it doit!!!! Pull that trigger!... breathe that poison
@SUlax1017 Go thou and killest thy self... go hither and pullest thy firearm and puttest in thy mouth and pullest thy trigger. Let no man put thy mindset away from doing thy deed proper.
Always loved to hear this very talented woman sing, and still do. Don't share political views, but that's neither here no there. She's still a very talented person, and I still LOVE her version of this song, and have always related it with her. Long live Linda!
@CosmicTruthify Thank you for your response! I am a retired cop that still carries a giant crush on this woman. I interacted a few times with her as head of security and must say the word stunning does not do this woman justice!! Talent just oozed from her unlike the marginally talented "musicians" of today that hide their marginal talent with their stupid relentless campaigns of self promotion.
I was in charge of security for Bill Graham productions in the San Fran bay area in the early 70s and was on stage with Linda when she did a rendition of this song with the Eagles. OMG, I still get goose bumps!!! Probably the best white singer this country has produced and she does it with talent and looks alone, unlike the wannabes of today with the ridiculous costumes ,stage props and outlandish life styles. We love you still Linda!!!
I think Wanda Jackson recorded the original. But Linda Ronstadt made the biggest hit out of it! I saw her live in Atlanta in the winter of 1977 and she put on one HECK of a show!!! And Waddy Watchell and Dan Dugmore are 2 of the finest guitar players of that era....along with Don Felder and Joe Walsh, of course!
@dsfddsgh I saw her, in about 1971, and she was wearing very short and very tight "Daisy Dukes," that had about 5 pounds of studs and rhinestones attached thereto. She has a great pair of legs.
bugeyes455858 plenty of people have sang this song...but there's only one Linda. She adds that rock n' roll gusto to this twangy country tune and transforms it into a country rock crossover. This song stands as yet another great example of her range and ability to cross musical styles with ease...beautiful job, Linda.
I wonder how many guys forgot their own names watching her and listening to her. Love you, Linda.

Sexy, sassy and a voice like an angel. I wish the young singers today had even 1/10 of her talent. Thanks for posting.

Frustratingly waiting the shirt to fall off a little bit. And the first 5 seconds is the best move.
