i have a point here:

malwarebytes and superantispyware are both very good products, yet both very small. they will beat out many of the big antiviruses like avg, mcafee, f-secure, vipre, bitdefender, nod32, etc. the only ones to me that might beat it r spyware doctor w/AV and kaspersky

used to have mcafee but it found only cookies no virus no malvare just cookies even when i knew i had some bad ass viruses it keep find cookies and when i was trying to register it, it just stoped after i wrote in the e-mail and some other information still dont know why since i got it with my computer so it should have been a full version...

also does which other anti viruses does mcafee dont work with?

Mcafee is OK..... i guess, but malwarebytes points out real threats and gets rid of them after a scan with a click of a mouse.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mcafee is ok, but it is a big waste of money, i have mcafee, and when i had this bad antivirus whcih installed itself onto my pc, mcafee didn't even ntice it, not even after 2 full scans. Malwarebytes noticed and got rid of the virus.

when mcafee does automatic updates, it uses a lot of computer resources and slows down the computer (lag, freezing)

McAfee should just be considered as "bloatware" i had mcafee for some time and it did the job for a while, but after a few updates. it told me to uninstall the whole security suite. THE WHOLE THING!. it was missing virus scan and i had to uninstall the whole bloody suite!??! McAfee raises the shit meter there.

I know, this pc was $1,800, and it only has 191,000 mb, that isn't that much space, plus mcafee has it's false alarms. Like when i install anything more than 100 mb that from the internet, it says i have adware, and all of the flippin sites i download from are green sites.

I know it sucks it blocks all my games on my computer, and it wont let me allow those specific files!

It calls Halo and other games "Trojans" and blocks them

When I click on the "TROJAN" it brings me to a webpage that has " " searched

the only way to get mcafee free is from comcast they give mcafee free allthough you might not want to use it its better than nothing comcast gives it free but you have to be an internet user if you do get mcafee from comcast run superantispyware with it you should be fine

Here is my advise. Never buy a virus protection software online unless you've done some research and you know it's safe. The best thing to do i just to go to best buy or office depot or any computer store and buy anitivirus software there and ask for assistance.

Here is my advice. Never BUY software. My FREEWARE suite rivals any paid suite 7 days a week. The best AV and antimalware programs are Free. Avast AV Free comes with Antispyware AND Rootkit Protection. Comodo BOClean is Real-Time Antimalware that runs quietly in the background and is both signature + Behavioral Analysis. Comodo Firewall Pro/Online Armor/Zone Alarm are all Free also. SAS is a great 3rd opinion for On-Demand scans. ALL FREE!! Screw paying for AV software.

I've got McAfee Total protection 12 in 1 & Spyware doctor without Anti virus (since i've got McAfee). Both are paid for. My question is:

Is this a good mix of programs for security as i got them both before seeing any of your reviews and i don't want to pay for the Spyware doctor anti-virus until my McAfee subscription is over or should i just drop McAfee anyway and get onto Spyware doctor with anti-virus?
