Hey, nice bike! I live in Ellington, and was looking to get one of these as a replacement for my tiny CRF70F as well as something to drive around and not spend a fortune on gas for. I found a place in Enfield that had it on sale for $4,000 new, and showed my dad, but he had to be a faggot and say no, even when I said I would pay for it. How do you like it? What kind of mileage do you get on it?
gotta love those 250s,this KLX 250 could be on my next buy list...would love to ride em on trails and off a couple of ramps but certainly not on the road,got my GSX 1000 for that...haha
First off, nice video. Mebillyc, sorry to hear about the bitch and her cell phone. I don't think the 09 KLX250s is lacking in anything. I mean sure, its always nice to have more torque and horsey, but it's a 250, and it's light and agile. Even on the street its a blast to ride, looks great, returns close to 80 mpgs, what more can a man ask for? More horsepower, yeah maybe, but again, it's a 250. I really can't stand seeing somebody driving while on a cell phone. If I were president...
230lbs i think... its a pretty light bike for the woods, nicely balanced with the center point down very low to the ground. Easy to keep up and pretty flickable. Gear it down to like a 13 45 or 13 48 and you should be able to pick the front end up with out the clutch in 1st 2nd and 3rd with a little bump.... I wish i got a bigger bike because i do more road riding then woods, thinking of getting another bike for the street like a SV650 the naked version... good luck brodie

i've been clutching wheelies from day one... its got over 8500 miles on it, yes thats 8 thousand 5 hundred miles on it. the clutch is still great. your not going to kill your clutch unless your holding it partly out and reving the shit out of it.... when you slip it for a wheelie just slip it really quick, think more like pop it. you just wanna pull it in for a split second when your almost WOT around 4 or 5K
gotta slip that clutch up.... put her in second get going when you get to around 4 or 5 rpm just pull the clutch in let it hit 7 or 8 grand and let the clutch go it'll come right up, if you want it to come down hit your back brake... it just takes a lot of pratice.... caution. try it in second gear before you try it in first. its too easy to flip the bike in first gear

about 80 tops... maybe 85 if you changed up the sprockets, but its going to lose all torque when you go for top end speed.

stock tires are pretty good on the road, i've got some MX tires and there still alright on the road, careful in turns not to gun it too much.
