Hey man, very nice vette. PLEASE tell me what brand and size the wheels are. I have got to put those on my 73. Oh, and even though you were slow off the start, you still put up a pretty good 1/4. Wish mine would run like that!
@texascagematch If you look at my other videos I have one called, "Corvette Walkaround" or something like that where I explain everything about the car. Message me and I'll send a link with just about all the questions you can think of answered.
You know, irregardless of the shifting and reaction time, the most important thing is, "DID YOU HAVE FUN"?? I will bet the answer is HELL YES!!!! That is a very sharp corvette. Did you do the work yourself?? How about those fender flares? I really like those and will eventually sell my 69 GTO and 76 Trans am so I can build one similar to yours!!! More videos please!!
thats a great mph my 91 ran about that same et at a lil slower mph, I bet your car has consistent 11.75's in it with great tires. My car had 367@ wheels. Dyno numbers are just numbers. And we don't race dyno's, those numbers can be skewed by the operator by the smoothing factor. Now if your car had done 474@wheels the same day mine did 367, your car would trap about 125mph
I'm looking to go in a similar direction with my C3 as far as wheels and tires go. What kind of set up do you have for the front and rear? Backspacing Issues? Did you have to do any mods or a direct bolt on?
I built a fairly mild 540 for my '70, motor is done just restoring the rest of the car. I hope to post a video soon on the rolling chassis. I expect the car to run 10's but without a cage I don't know if they will let me do even 1 run.
def not 440 or 450 at wheels. otherwise he would be in the 11s but prob a solid 390 or 400 at the wheels. just about done with mine cant wait to hit up the track! its an amazing rush
@phammond87 I'm making 474 at the wheels. I have a dyno video on YouTube also. I'm not using slicks and this was my first time driving a manual at the track. Was either smoking the tires or the clutch on takeoff.
lol that was just unfair to pit that little honda hatch at the end up against american muscle. MAYBE if it was really tuned that would make it a better match but...yeah... I kinda felt bad for that honda, it never stood a chance.
very nice rims man fit awesome

a better launch on some MT Drag Radials would put that car around 11.70 ets' & possibly pick up a MPH or two. good job on the 12.07 et.

That CRX almost had you. Two or three more stickers and a fresh coat of black spray paint on the hood and the Vette is toast!

With those trap speeds, I'd say you're pushing about 440-450 to the tires, maybe 515 at the crank.
That's faster than I ever ran in my procharged '72.
opnwide 1 year ago
@opnwide 474 HP and 444 ft. lb. to the wheels
