  • CNN always make stupid controversial issue.

  • OH MY GOD. YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT THE GOVERNMENT IS UNABLE TO MONITOR 5300 KM OF BORDER? WE MUST HAVE TERRORISTS IN POWER THAT PANDER TO THOSE THAT REFUSE TO BUILD A 5300 KM FENCE.

WHAT ANARCHY! GOD SAVE US ALL!

  • There shouldn't even be a border with the United States and Canada

  • well, it's a good thing you tell everyone who didn't know this existed that now it does.

  • The US has a great deal more trouble with the Mexicans than with our Canadians. You can sure tell that the US is now a police state. You might as well be in China, Russia, Hungary, Romania, North Korea and those places than ot be in a country that calls itself a democracy or a republic or whatever they want to call it but they are not free by long shots. This is a real shame.

  • I have never had a damn problem with crossing from The United States into Canada, but it is always a bitch and a half coming back into The United States from Canada.

  • terrorism: def: That which our governments define to illicit fear and submissiveness amongst an already enslaved public.

  • Man so i guess Dick Chaney, Rumsfeld, Bush, Rice, Obama and the gang can escape to Canada when the American population wakes-up and start going after these criminals and terrorist.

  • oh shit somebody brought marijuana into BC! BC will never be the same!

  • Ironically the biggest concern about the USA-Canada border now, is that Americans are crossing into Canada illegally, because of the current financial situation being worse in USA than in Canada.

  • @RebelStallion He is not worried about Canadians hurting you. He's worried about terrorist first going to Canada, and then into USA.

  • Wrong aspect ratio.

  • Are we supposed to place 5000 miles of landmines and 30 ft high walls like the East Germans did for 30 years? This reminds me of the movie "Canadian Bacon" where the US starts a bogus war with Canada.

  • anyone who even thinks that they could ever "close the border" is retarded sure you can shut down a border crosssing... but its the largest undefended border in the world... good luck if you want to "close" it....

  • Damn...don't fuck with those Canadian terrorists...LOL. That's politcal correctness to the extreme. Seriously close the border, and we'll just become more independent and ship our oil to china.

  • @MrBarelylethal FUCK OFF

  • @mattmax11 have a nice day eh

  • Nice Stuff...I like it...Oh yes and being from Ohio.

  • our own bully our own so no one wants to be here. and they know it. and thought of this in advance. some innocent people r not wanted in this country. but if they leave, they might tell the world that america is a joke so they cant be alloud to go so lets sprout wings and fly away

  • Gotta watch out for em Canadian Terrorists LOL

  • Were like the same damn country, why cant we just come in and out, just have a little check, no passports and no nothing, this little stupid fight that canada and US are having over that community and its borders in dumb.

  • terrorists...

do americans ever think "maby this is abit over the top" ?

  • criminal: O sh*t, no foot bridge! how am i going to get across now?!?!?!

  • America, Canada. What's the difference?? They're the same countries!!

  • @HepburnFlicks Except in Canada you can be arrested for having an OPINION! There's NO FREEDOM OF SPEECH BECAUSE OF THIS.

  • @HepburnFlicks They are actually vastly different countries with vastly different laws and beliefs.

  • Problem/Reaction/Solution... Their Solution is a Common Security Perimeter Around The Continent.. Fortress North America.. The Loss Of National Sovereignty!

  • Fear is big business!

  • The United States and Canada didn't have blocked borders until recently. Canadians were the only people that could come casually into the US without a passport. Same in reverse. After 9/11 it is a different ball game.

  • Americans are just to stupid, like seriously. Point Roberts has nothing in it except old people, old buildings and old stuff...everything old.

If they are so concerned about fugitives, terrorists and escapees then please start making the "not-so-great wall of America from Point Roberts to Minnesota.

  • It makes me laugh how USA are so tight on the US/Canada border its like France and Italy having massive border patrols, it just wouldn't make sense.

  • @MercifulBeing For more than 100 years, these have been borders between friends. Neighbours are literally across the street form each other, yet one is American and one is Canadian. This is 99% of the time in very remote areas. I'm Canadian, and I simply refuse to let a minute number of "possible" terrorists destroy this relationship. If we are all going to run around and be fearful of lunatic f*cks from elsewhere close our borders, then THEY have won.

  • Thumb up if you think that America is a continent, not a country,

  • @edwinserebrie I totally agree with you!!

  • better send an airstrike on those foot bridges

  • I LOVE CANADIA (kuh-nay-dee-uh).

    -Love, America (Ah-mer-ee-kuh) <3

  • Why do people complain about our mexican border not being protected and then when they're protecting our canadian border, they complain that they're protecting it?

  • welcome to another CNN report to scare the U.S.A/canada People, Get real we've had the best unprotected border in the world, envy of world until everyone got scared. then millions of dollors on both side got spent protecting it. insted of where its need to be spend in schools, Hospital and Jobs on both side. for one want our old relationship back with out Amercan Cousins

  • Comment removed

  • Shit guy we need to destroy those foot bridges!

  • Either they need to relax the rules only at Point Roberts or just join Canada. It's not worth all the inconvenience.

  • @homestarfan2008 I think it would be easier to give all the residents of Point Roberts dual citizenship, as a mandatory requirement for living there.

  • Yeah, but what do you propose?? Huge walls that will only keep out the neighbours? We're a pretty "tight" group. My city has a border separated by water, ONLY. The passports cost us a pretty penny, but....that still won't keep us apart.

  • Last time I went to the border I looked around and saw empty pasture. I opened a gate and wandered into Montana...Trying to confirm it was actually State side. I then drove about half a mile east along the fence looking for a stone that marks the border. We never found one. At about half mile mark we met a north south fenceline and hand to change direction. Funny thing was is further East the east/west fence was discontinued. So it was open pasture for who knows how far. No one was around

  • @Scourge63 Point is, We got drugs on both sides, we got guns on both sides, we got criminals on both sides. Wasting money on a fence isn't going to do anything for either country. We should actually be allowed to drive back and forth without a checkpoint, it doesn't do us any good!

  • @Scourge63 That is COOL!

  • cnn doing what it does best scare tactics

  • May these gates never be closed.

    USA & Canada stand together

  • @PcGamerPaul USA & Mexico & Canada!

We all stand together, hombré! =)

  • @TheSanguineOne i would never want to stand with USA and CANADA ok but i would never want my country (CANADA) to stand with mexico

  • @mattmax11 Welllllll . . . I don't blame you.

  • @PcGamerPaul

mind u one thing.... the border control of both contry are tighten in these few yrs, previously u need a driver license, now u need an enhanced one... next few yrs probably u need a passport.....

and a few decades later, well.. maybe a visa?

  • @PcGamerPaul seriously. i agree. I know how much Americans make fun of Canada. and their citizens.. but they are the closest friend we have, literally and metaphorically. (besides britain)

  • @MyNameIsErr also, i love Canada. every person I have ever met from there has been nothing but COMPLETELY nice to me. and kind.

  • Build a wall. east and west germany tore down their wall, but the u s wants to restrict travel of friends and neighbors. it.s madness

  • @SIGISBAR1 your fuckin stupid bro thats not thier point at all cananda is one of the most easiest countries to get into were not trying to stop canadians coming to america were trying to stop terreorists

  • @NewYorkNewYorkup24 It's so hard for people from third world countries to come to Canada. It's only easy for Americans to come to Canada. thanks.

  • @SIGISBAR1 whose restricting travel. I travel to canada all the time. Is it really that hard to have a passport in your pocket. People make a big deal out of everything. You carry a wallet anyways. Add a passport to it. No one is stopping anyone from visiting anywhere.

  • is this the peace arch border?

  • What a moron reporter, so fucken what. A someone fleaing from the law crossing into Canada. How many murders go the other way? or go to Mexico. As for border tensions, their in your mind CNN or your agenda for ratings. Stop watching CNN and get the real news on RT

  • @Bristow42 RT's a bunch of crap too.

  • if you listen this guy you can tell wht he talking about NOT about canada he talk about amercia... bozo. lol

  • Canuck pot goes across the border and comes back as guns, opiates and shite. Legalize pot, this won't happen.

Doesn't anyone remember prohibition? And the rise of organized crime? Dimwits.

  • the way things have been going lately, the canadians may decide to build a fence to keep american job-seekers out. canada's exports to the us continue to shrink as exports to asia continue to increase... they're not as dependent on us as people think. sure we could invade them, but doing that would create more problems than it would solve...

  • it's a shame that both canadians and americans now have to have a passport to cross mr harper and mr obama please put an end to this wall!

  • One name: G W Bush and his greedy cohorts.

  • if americans are so paranoid, why not build a huge wall, like the one for mexico?

  • @Lucassandro25 Because Canadians have more respect for their own nation and is more stable unlike Mexico they are a bit more desperate. I'm pretty sure you knew that.

  • @Vindbm Dumb ass, Canada has the same economy size as Mexico.

  • @alex11830 Are you saying we're as poor as Mexico? Because just to let you know America is poor as shit. Canada is not.

  • @alex11830 Canada is richer than Mexico

  • @alex11830 actually canada is richer than mexico, mexico doesnt have much at all really

  • @alex11830 no we dont u dumbass. our economy is bigger than mexico. btw america is 3 trillion dollars in debt, so good luck with that shitheads.

  • @Lucassandro25 The Treaty between Canada and the United States explains that there shall be no man-made barrier between the two countries. That's why on many border crossings, there is a gate with no fence.

  • old news the mexican border is just as easy and every 10 illigals is arab mixing along with the mexicans but they dont care

  • Come on....slow news day?
