They are rigged with an IK Chain, to allow movement, plus, they are pre-animated when you get them.

How did you do the secoundary motion on the neck? Is it flex, or soft body? And if it is soft body, how did you do...you know when it´s part of deformable mesh...

I think it's soft effects but it could be done with bones too :)

Their is a little IK bone that points down in the center of the neck, controlling that part of the neck, and its animated to appear to wobble back and forth, this creating the jiggling flesh look.

I don't own the program, I just use the 30 day trials. Since there are many 3ds Max versions, and I have six computers to install them onto. So I don't have to reformat very often.

Don't necessarily need to reformat, just delete it out of the registry.

I've already tried that. There must be some hidden file on the hard drive telling it that it is still expired. The only thing that works is unfortunately reformating.

im finally starting a documentary on dinosaurs when it comes out on february or earlier, it will have about 4 episodes

but im thinking of uploading my test"s for software im using 3dsmax 6 ive got 3 people helping me with animation and modeling, to asure it will be realistic when it comes out

Are you familiar with Animation:Master 2007? If so, do you believe that somebody could model and animate something as good as this (and yes, this is in my opinion a TOP quality animation) with the A:M 2007 program?

When I was looking around for a good 3d program, I was seriously considering Animation Master, but in my opinion I don't think it would be able to match 3ds Max.

I have searched high and low, and tried many programs including blender, which I also disliked. Then I tried 3ds Max and it blew me away, with its amazing CGI quality 3d. (3ds Max has been used to make most of the latest video games and movies). It is by far the best 3d program available out there.

Well i have both, Lightwave and 3Ds Max and i find the user interface on Lightwave is far more, well how u say easier to understand. But over time i've grown to love both programs :)

Unfortunately, it costs thousands. One second and I'll check...

For 3ds Max 9 (the latest version), it costs $3,495.00

But as more new versions come out, the older versions become cheaper.

Excellent animation! Superb texture and flow...the only problem is the manual orientation of the claws. Other than that, pretty much flawless.
