Yes the ensemble has 4 built in pres (Inputs 1-4), but it also has 4 aux inputs (Inputs 5-8). This means you can run outboard pres into the remaining inputs to achieve a total of 8 inputs. This is where we use 2 Great River MP500NV's and 2 API 512C's.
If you have vast amounts of money you can also daisy chain multiple ensembles to gain even more inputs, but that's just wishful thinking.

You can tell when you're playing that you never second guess yourself, every hit is precise and you mean to do everything you do. This makes for a great sound and it's fun to watch, and know that you know what you're doing.

It's actually the head itself. It's an Aquarian Super kick II. Similar to the Evans Emad head where you insert felt rings, except the Aquarians are fixed on the inner side of the head. Great option for controlling ringing and boomy-ness.

@jimrhcp95 I wouldn't say they're exactly true to the song note for note. But I try my best to learn them by listening closely and/or watching live videos to see how Danny plays it. Hope that helped
