i've had my ipod 120G for a while, haven't noticed any sound quality problems at all... then again I make sure what i download is highquality mp3 and not some copy of a copy of a copy

i reccomend waiting for the new ipod classics this september. the 120 right now has many sound quality issues, including lack of warmth and overbright highs. hopefully the 240 will fix the problems

personally i would get the classic because it holds so much more music, and that what an ipod is supposed to do. the ipod touch is nice but its expensive, does not hold as many songs, and is just a sucky version of an iphone. if u want internet access get the touch, if u want alot of music on the go, but the classic

if u wanna hold a lot of music, videos and photos and use it as external drive get the classic. It is no problem to watch videos on it but a 2 hours movie might confuse your eyes a lil bit.

but podcasts, tv shows, music videos are usually no problem.

but when you really wanna watch long videos oftenly and don't mind the price and less space and also wanna surf the internet and play appstore apps... you should get the touch, but it duz not work in disk mode.

People tend to store videos temporarily and store their entire music collection indefinitely and allow for growth of their music collection on an mp3 player.

Thus storage = current music collection in gb multipled by 2 = X ... + 1/3 of X for the temporary storage for videos = Y

approx 240gb thats all im asking for!

im switching from touch to classic on the same basis. the touch has many more things and is 'funner' but therefore uses more battery even when your just listening to music. i want to go back to a good old fashioned ipod which just does the music and has a click wheel. apple have made such a good decision keeping it in the line up.

LOL... They went form a 160 to 120... thats not getting bigger. True, maybe in the future they will start producing larger capacity iPods again, but not for a while. Apple said that they reduced the memory to keep the device slim. Things are getting more advanced true... but also alot smaller; and to get smaller some small details may need to be removed.
