It actually sucks having it, i cannot do any sports at school,so i actually cannot interact too well with the other students because they all talk about sport. I also get severe bullying because of it. i just wish i could do more.
so i had an Catheter intervention in September 2008. But i am 15 years old. And if you are over 18 i think you have to make the intervention just with a Local anesthesia. It will not hurt ! But you have to lie for about 6,7 or 8 hours at the same position without any movements. Now if i remember cause it is a few time passed i have got 2 sinus points so my doctor said they are beating exactly at the same time and because of that it is not dangerous and he said it is like i would have 2 lives
? normaly you shouldn't have problems doing things...you should able to do things like every other normal people... maybe you should look for your self ...what is about an operation so no real operation...i had interfered with a catheter through my main atery... so be sure the wpw is just a little fly shit ! ;)
Im a student in school who has wpw and I've always wanted to play football or/and wrestling but idk what the rough hits and stuff could do to me. can someone respond to me?
hey, i was 16 yrs old.. now 24.. i played sports through out my high school career.. i played football, wrestling, and baseball... i also played baseball and football in jr college.. i had the ablation done last year.. i since graduated a police academy with no symptoms... it varies im sure.... stay positive and dont feel like ur helpless.. any other questions just ask..
i played competitive hockey and many other sports my whole life. I'm 21 now, 2 summers ago i got the surgery obviously it's a cure and really safe. my point is it never really hurt me, the only thing is the feeling of you're heart beating over 200 beats a minute, then in one beat your heart is at resting heart rate. no gradual slow down...kinda hard to explain
When I think of someone going on disability I think of it being for something thats either not curable or reversable or while they are going to need to take a long leave from work to get better or have surgery. WPW can be fixed in a day and you need about a week to recover. So are you saying you want to go on disability while you wait to have it fixed? Then yea you probably could. I'm saying I doubt you could if you think your just going to go on it forever and not have the ablation to fix it.

Can someone get on disability if they have it?
maria39208 2 years ago
I doubt it.. They would just tell you to go have the simple ablation done. You could have your licence taken away though.
