Luke was one of the greatest singers of all time- would've loved to have met him but he died 6 years before i was born. i know this might sound corny but he lives on through his music! Luke is Immortal!
@andciwusdciwhn ,,sorry chum,,in ireland we spell whiskey with an e ,,the doctor told my da that whiskey would kill him ,,and right enought 68yrs later he dropped dead
Well - Luke didn`t die of drinking, he was even sober for several years before passing away. He died of cancer through a recuring brain tumor. One of the hardest musical losses i can imagine :(
October 6th '83? I was born on September 22nd '83. Welcome to the Bittersweet Fans Of Luke Kelly club; those of us who shared nothing but a few months of being-alive with our beloved Ginger Dubliner, but still love him.

Indeed! He's the iconic warrior-bard of gaelic/celtic legend.
I know its just a retail image, but true nevertheless. We should be glad he graced us with his presence on this earth.
