Great project! I'd like to see some effort like this here in the Ottawa River in Ontario, Canada.
American eel are currently having a hard time ascending the Ottawa River due to many hydro dams in series. Some eel are still making to areas above 4 hydodams, imagine how many more would make if there were eel ladders installed!
This would be a great thing for eel recovery here in Ontario and will help produce more females for the eel population as a whole.
