i've played this piece too with my fellow piano major batchmate for our ensemble class.. they (the pianists above) really played this so beautifully! Very brilliant, lively and amazing! (hi scott brothers if you are reading this!hehe..smile! :) but they omitted some notes and added notes too..but regardless, they still played wonderfully! so good a job!!! :))

You all need to listen to the students from the Eastman School of Music playing this on 16 pianos with ten pianists - now that is pure magic. There is no Lang Lang or Yevgeni Kissin etc . All were students from the ESM recorded in 1972 !!

The lablel is COLUMBIA, the CATALGOGUE # MQ31726 in the USA . The ID # 85862 and the price is $15 - its still avalable!! I bought my LP back in 1972 and if you do a serch on GOOGLE for "Eastman Shool of music " - Monster Concert. There is a website that will put it on CD for you for $6.00 Hope that helps !!

@vanburikwouter : I wasnt actually referring to the Scott Brothers. I was referring to the Eastman School of Music who recorded this in 1972, using 10 pianos and 16 pianists. The 33 1/3 LP record is still available for about US$16. I have had my LP converted to CD removing the static and noises through general wear and tear. If you do a GOOGLE search under either : Eastman School of Music or Monster Concert you will see that the LP is still available. Its well worth buying as its unique ! One of the tracks on that LP is the Thunder and LIghtning Polka. I play this number on my piano (Kawai K7) in time with the record,. Reason I have a Kawai is that we down sized our house and there was no room for a grand paino so went for the Kawai.
