  • Thank you for your kind comment! I will pass this to Eberhard Kraus' widow.

  • Lovely!! I have been looking to listen to this version for years!!! I ADORE this work, which I consider Handel's most beautiful!

  • Wow ! Despite it seems to be an old recording the tempi are so steady , calm and well choosen. The musical text is very clear. Is this a "revival " harpsichord?

Thank you for this good surprise!

  • @harpsinth: Hello, thanks for your comment. I'm not sure what you mean by "revival harpsichord" -- the harpsichord used in this recording (Dulcken) is one of the historical instruments of the Nuremberg collection (Germany).

  • @ktriebler

today some people call the harpsichords used by pionners like Karl Richter and Mrs.Landowska

( neupert or pleyel brand) , "revival" ones because they were used in early years of revival (1930-1970 ?)

I agree this is not a very clarifying expression to name a musical instrument. Anyway, I am studying this

piece now and your upload was very helpful ! I think Mr. Kraus did a very fine job too ! Thanks !

  • @harpsinth: Ok, understood. Thanks for the info. An interesting subject of study you have got you there, good luck with that! :-)
