you can do that with any character even if they dont have a final smash, except they can move back up on to the stage (so youre not stuck, but youre still inside the floor)

yuo can also do it in delfino plaza when you start if the platform goes straight right before it dissapears use it! idk how i did it but i am pretty sure that is how... i did it with charizard

that also works on greenhill zone when the ground breaks, you wait with the fs then just before the ground reapears you jump down and use the fs. you can then go under the bridge to the left.

on halberd, i did toon link vs mr game and watch. toon link got a smash ball. when the combo cannons laser shot MGAW, i waited a bit then used triforce slash. MGAW got to 999% by the time toon link was about to do the final blow. then the laser, only doing 15% to toon link, fired both ppl off the screen (toon link won of course, but he still shot off pretty fast). cool, eh?

i found what might be a glitch: if you hang on to the edge as the screen changes to a microgame, you'll go down with the stage and die.
