Volvo B230 16V First Start

Hey man , i have a 90 740 turbo and my brother has the gle , he crashed and doesnt use his anymore , can i just take the head off his gle and make mine a 16v turbo ?

I've been wanting to do something like this with my B230 block, how much money(aprox) is needed for a mild setup, similar to yours..... also, other that drilling the block &/or adding head spacers what would I need to modify for a turbo setup. diff pistons? new head?

It depends on how much you're willing to skimp on. The head fits on there just fine with no modifications and will work just fine with a turbo. Obviously, you'll want lower CR pistons for a turbo motor.

Would I just buy new low CR pistons or have somebody machine my old ones? Or would it be easier just to find some at the wrecking yard?

Several people make nice 16V turbo pistons. You can machine your old ones if you really want, but that's not something I wanted to do.
