1. Eric crouch was a good player and Nebraska has a great tradition
2. There were a lot of people who commented on the Hawkeyes sucking when we are 7-0 and about to go 8-0

Im sorry, but their is no excuse to only win by 1 point against a team not even in this division. Face it, you play in the big ten, an awful BCS conference for a while. You don't look like a top ten team, you just find a way to win. If I were the coach of the Hawkeyes, I'd want them to lose a few games, so they don't go to the national championship game and get embarrassed. Alabama and Texas aren't no Arizona and Michigan. I would agree that we find ways to win, but isnt that what a National contender does? Not to mention the Big 12 North is a very weak Conference. Last I checked all of the Big 12 Powerhouses are in the South.

dude, look at any fan, unless you're 'over-glorified' like USC or Oklahoma, then all you talk about is what used to be. Don't get me wrong, they're amazing teams, but a lot of the fans i've personally met/talked to are fucking assholes, case and point of what you are. Get over yourself.
All teams have down periods, and we're working back up the rankings now. A great first season with a new head coach/staff which is rare.

Tommy had health problems never made it to the NFl. Eric made a few practice squads. He was a great college Qb. Like Vick and Vince Tommy was a Running Qb that doesnt cut it in the NFL. SAme for Eric

If Eric Crouch were a rugby player he would be one of the best in the world. If he were a football (global football aka soccer) player he would make a incredible striker of centre back.
