  • I love your "Aha" from "I made the game not crush for another half a hour" >_<

  • @viddeliten yeah I bought simcity societies and the graphics look great and the game runs great on my computer but the game play of sim city societies is boring.

I only played the game on the same day I got it and that was it. It got boring quick when keeping up with all the demands and objectives you have to do in the game to just build a city. even when you play the game in free-play it's still not that great.

    also: your cute! : )

  • you stupid girl...that game dont sucks......and if you DONT KNOW if it sucks then dont do a fucking review......and stop saying i fell it!

  • there should be a game where you can make a city then put a sim family and play sims 2 in sim city

  • I find what takes upp all the memory is the custom downloads. Obviously maxis never anticipated that people like me would have 7000+ files in their download directory...

  • You whine too much, you're way too stressed about little things, lighten up!

  • Well, when you rather go back to an earlier version of the game, and the game truly sucks, what are you going to do? Wait 'till Spore comes out, and I'll be all worked up over how fantastic it is! =)

  • Spore? That awful looking dumb game? Nah. Cities Unlimited (cuplanetDOTcom) is going to be what SimCity 5 should have been. It's also a company that continues to ask the people what they want and that's in my opinion how ANY business should design a game.

  • They also show in great deatil what they're doing, how they do it or what they're planning to do. They even have good discussions with potential customers on their forum. Nothing beats an appraoch like that, nothing. Too many games are too much designed from the designers' perspective and it's great to finally see a company using a different approach!

  • So then you agree that SCS wasn't as good as it could have been? ;)

  • download patch #2 on your computer and you will never experience any more crashes -- i did it; because the exact thing happened to me

  • I allready uninstalled the game. Imho a game should be playable the day it is released. Not after a couple of weeks when they fix the bugs.

  • C'mon, that's just wishful thinking. There has NEVER been a program that was 100% ok from the moment it was released and there never will be. The majority of problems are also in most cases related to all the different hard- and software configurations out there and not so much the program itself.

  • I don't believe 100% that they would have released the program if it was still crashing on their computers. SimCity, Windows Vista, City Life, they all had these kind of problems. Many of them are often caused by the user, like crappy hardware, poor software installtion or installing beta sofwtare or using brand new operating systems like Vista.

  • I never had a single crash with this program or SimCity 4. That's because I don't go installing Vista, use brand new video cards or hardware and then hope that all of these are bug free so that I'm able to play these games. Use common sense. And the other issue is; very little people actually know how to use a computer. They think they do, but they don't!

  • People build their own computers with brand new parts, don't do memory tests, directx diagnostics, use cheap power supplies, use unreliable drivers, have never heard of an event log, have beta software running, conflciting firewalls and virus scanners, etc, etc. Heck, if they update the OS they even refuse to close all active user programs and processes! No wonder why these people have problems all the time!

  • Vista is safe as long as you have greater than or equal 4gb of ram. I have a 8gb ram double dual channel on Vista ultimate 64-bit sp1 and just a Geforce 8400 video card not a single crash and it runs smoothly.

SCS is epicfail good thing i only downloaded it on torrent. Currently waiting for Cities XL.

  • sim city society and sim city4 are 2 different games. it its like playng civcity rome or caser4 or children of the nile.but if you think of this game like it was simcity 4 then you will not like it.what i think they should have done is change the name of the game so people would stop compareing the 2 games.

  • Exactly the point I was trying to make. To name it like this was just A: stupid or B: smart, since people bought the game expecting something they didn't get...

  • try altering the idk the controls if not( i dont rlly kno because i havent played yet) then yeah go with selling it.

  • ???

  • o i meant try fixing the controls in options, sry i havent played it much yet. But i think i can hep you wiht the crashes.

  • Well... I'll just try Societies. I'm with SC4 and there's nothing wrong with it.

  • SCS and SC4 has almost nothing in common.

  • i like the sims, i just think that the new ones coming out are just too much to do. sometimes simplicity is the best thing.

  • If you can do anything by hardly doing anything, that is the best! ;)

  • Thanks for posting your review. I pre-ordered SCS and it's given me nothing but grief. I installed it on two machines and it constantly crashes. This program needs a not just a patch but a major service pack, ASAP! Navigation is a total nightmare, too. I was that disgusted that I took my program back to the retailer and received a full refund, no questions asked! I'm thinking the word was already out that this is defective merchandise.

  • Well there is allready a patch out. It didn't help, though... =(
