I was at this show. A life changer, I was only 14 years old!! WOW!! The Electric Kats opened the show (awful). Can't totally remember the setlist, but I remember the Torpedo-looking keyboard Michael Anthony played during "And the Cradle will Rock". 'assigned' seats, so if you were willing to brave the crush, you could mosey on over to the front row and hang.
Wow, this is really amazing. Grew up in Dade County myself, the Sport was a great place. WSHE, THE SHE, remember it well. Went to my 1st concert there. I was 11 in 1980, didn't get to see them then, but I was already into them, was only able to catch them in Jan of 84'. I also dig the Panama quote, kinda sur-real. This was the machine that I remember, the Mighty VH, no one could touch em.
I was ther, can You believe We saw them for 9$?? anyway I got arrested,(fighting) and the stinkin cops would throw You out the backdoor, and throw Your belongings in the "moat" I called it, I got wise and got me a velcro wallet that semi-floated, so when I went again, I could get My money and DL back, those were the days, Sweatbox and Schmoke, Everybody got a contact high, seems to Me I saw Foghat Open for them once also, it's been so long I can't remember WSHE was awesome, then You had Y-100:(

I was there too! Great concert, and $9 was a steal....! Great era and Great city to have grown up in... Wish I could go back in time!
