@OverFuryAndTheFire the Revenge Of The Fallen version is a repaint. the extra add-ons he reviewed in this video is the add-on set from FansProject ( a third party company which makes very good toys such as Thundershred, Backfiery or Stormbomb ( the not-insecticons )
This set is cool and the addon-kit is fantastic, but now that i have the Bruticus set, this looks a bit meh. I would like Fansproject to make a new kit to emulate Superion by making their own limb bots from scratch and use the Universe Silverbolt fig as a base.
hey man...great review.i picked up this set on sunday [25 euro] and now defo have to get the add on /upgrade kit.i did combine them just once to see what he looked like and it looks awful as standard but with the upgrade kit it looks fantastic
Picked up this set as well last week and they look amazing combined. Plus i was also trying to figure out a way to store sliverbolt's gun when in combined form if you don't want to have him holding it. It can be stored on either side of the arms in the same holes that the guns go into just make certain to have the handle flipped down like you would have silverbolt hold it and not superion otherwise it won't work that well. Plus i do have full 360 movement in the arms.
Thank you SO much for this video review! I was on the fence about getting it. But I got the battle in space set this week and this video sealed the deal for me. Next purchase will definitely be this add on!

@optibotimus Yep. Small heads-up btw, on the side-flaps of the combined mode feet, there are flip-out pegs that go in between the A-10 Bots' legs to connect the side flaps together and fill the gap between the A-10's legs.
I have a Question ok I know hasbro is the Company who makes the Transformer Figures So Iam confused is Hasbro An American Company like Who makes are Transformers are they Made in the USA like do Americans Design are Transformer figures and that other Company in Asia called Takatomy does hasbro sell them are Figures so they can have there own figures? how does this work -brain explodes-
@drakozero8 haha takara/tomy and hasbro are partner companies basically. Figures are designed by Takara/Tomy and sold overseas, usually with different looks or paint applications. More often than not, they're more accurate looking. Those same figures are then slightly repainted or retooled and then sold to Hasbro to be sold over here in the United States....hope that makes some sense

The first two years of G1 toys were designed by Takara (for Diaclone primarily, which you most likely already know), Hasbro based Transformers off that. Designing after that point is done by Hasbro, however they send the designs over to Takara, who create a second design in order to actually make them executable in toy form.

Just thought I'd mention, there's something you could do that you didn't put on here. With the extra arms on the planes on his arms, you could rotate them straight up and then fold them underneath the nosecones of the planes on the nose, so as to move them out of the way and make them stay relatively in place. Just figured I'd mention that since you didn't notice.^_^
the pevit is the centre panel going from the toes to the heel if you look at it you see the end bits are round shape which allows the pevit to activate i have tried it on my superion with the snowman vesion and it works

I got my aerialbot for around $18 here in Manila, it was on sale and now with the money I saved I might buy the upgrade set which costs around $65 here...it kinda balances out, hehehe
Whats great about these fan project is that they make a figure I would normally pass up give me a desire to to purchase it. I never really got into the energon show but he reminds me of the G-1 figure so much he is now a must have display piece. Great Review as always.
I just purchased Superion Maximus and the Superion Aerial Team Add-on kit "Snowman" Version, an online exclusive from TFSource. Limited to just 500 pieces worldwide.
This Appendage Add-on kit is in a much more G1 accurate color scheme. The hands, feet and other parts are colored in white which G.1 Superion is known for.
It make the original mediocre Superion gestalt just AMAZING.
The only major gripe i have with the kit is that you cant interchange the limbs anymore, i guess one reason to keep the old attachment bits, but the legs made out of the fighter jets are pretty crap anyway

their called engeron stars and arcee and her team would gather energon inside of them and then when they made the star.they lunched them out of their chest to the autobots and they would get a power boost as well as a weapon to use.great review btw

Does anyone else agree with me, though, that Fortress Maximus (G1) was the most awesome figure of the entire G1 line? I mean, I was, like, 5' tall when it came out and it was damn near as big as me!
Dunno if anyone found this. For Silverbolt/Superion's blaster, there's a slot on the wrist, after you change the hilt for superion's hand, you take that hilt and slide it into the slot for secure placing. By god does that help.
I just got my kit today. I didn't think you did this in your review, but the radar dish that becomes part of his feet have ractangular pieces that fold out. You then can snap each quarter piece of the dish into each other for more stability. Also, to make the gun fit better, you can fold the handle down so a thinner piece becomes the handle. there is a gap on the palm of his hand that it fits into.
BTW... the feet do have a pivot. I just got my set and if you look really close the piece where the feet connect with the bot, it's a separate piece. The fitting is kind of tight so it's not obvious that it swivles..
Fanprojects is a group in China that helps in specifically perfecting your Transformers. They got really famous when they released an Ultra Magnus armor kit for Classics Magnus that you could only get at Target back in 2005. This kit helped in Magnus having a striking resemblance to his G1 form rather than being just a repaint Prime.
They've also released a trailer set for Prime, 2 other Armor kits, and now working on Rodimus and Springer.
i never said it was from Takara...and it's not a KO...knock offs refer to fake replicas of already existing products...this doesn't exist...it's a custom upgrade set....there is a difference
Dude, don't be such a jackass. FansProject makes really great kits, and soon to be (if you even keep up on TF news) new figures. I think that Hasbro likes FP anyway cause they help sell toys. So seriously lay off.
I do keep up on TF news, and I know that Hasbro has already put the kibosh on the figures FP was making. if you really think that FP helps Hasbro, you are sadly mistaken. FP made the CC set, for a toy that hasn't been in stores for 4 years... so how could the be helping hasbro? Maybe you should learn what your talking about before you try defending something.
Hasbro has NOT yet stopped FP from doing anything. I don't know where you're getting that information...maybe if you have some source to back up your claim..email it to me..cause i'd be curious. The only thing that hasbro has said is that they do not want a company making a lot of money off of hasbros intellectual property. That said...FP could easily still sell upgrade kits and custom figures providing the prices don't go insane. That was their point.

BTW... the feet do have a pivot. I just got my set and if you look really close the piece where the feet connect with the bot, it's a separate piece. The fitting is kind of tight so it's not obvious that it swivles..

Not really. The index finger moves on it's own, and the middle, ring and pinky fingers move together. Sort of like a MG Gundam kit.

Fanprojects is a group in China that helps in specifically perfecting your Transformers. They got really famous when they released an Ultra Magnus armor kit for Classics Magnus that you could only get at Target back in 2005. This kit helped in Magnus having a striking resemblance to his G1 form rather than being just a repaint Prime.
They've also released a trailer set for Prime, 2 other Armor kits, and now working on Rodimus and Springer.

I do keep up on TF news, and I know that Hasbro has already put the kibosh on the figures FP was making. if you really think that FP helps Hasbro, you are sadly mistaken. FP made the CC set, for a toy that hasn't been in stores for 4 years... so how could the be helping hasbro? Maybe you should learn what your talking about before you try defending something.

Hasbro has NOT yet stopped FP from doing anything. I don't know where you're getting that information...maybe if you have some source to back up your claim..email it to me..cause i'd be curious. The only thing that hasbro has said is that they do not want a company making a lot of money off of hasbros intellectual property. That said...FP could easily still sell upgrade kits and custom figures providing the prices don't go insane. That was their point.

We're whats wrong with the TF community? Wow...most times people thank me for helping them determine if they should get something. I also have the Quint set on it's way to me...is me having those too ruining the community? I'm not gonna delete your comment...i don't think it's a bad comment..just your opinion. But i think they do a great job with their add ons to make fans enjoy hasbros stuff even more. Hasbro even said they don't mind...as long as they don't interfer with licensing
