The violin probably seemed off because the volume for it should have been turned up a tiny bit, and the piano, a tiny bit down. The voice was fine though.

woah! talk about breath control! This is a really hard song to sing cuz it's right over the break in most female's voices. (certainly is for me anyway!) You guys did this song way more justice than Mandy Moore. The violin gives it such a nice mood! The combination really works well. Love the harmonies too!! I'm also a bit of an addict!

okay ben plays the violin awesome but in all seriousness, she needs more practice... i play piano(not the best by far) but i have a very good ear and i could hear every time she's of, even if it's by 25 cents or so...

Stick to piano, because you obviously don't have a good ear for singing. She's right on key. I doubt Ben would have played with her singing if she wasn't. :)

squall00258, I think you are just not used to what reverb does, that's the "25 cents or so" that is making you think shes not on pitch, thats not her voice being off. I'm guessin you havent had much experience with vocals. Her intonation is actually extremely good.

to be truly honest, I didn't like her voice at all. probably because it sounded too "fake" and unemotional to me, just not my cup of tea. I'd rather just hear your violin together with the piano, you're a genius and I like watching your vids. give me goose bumps every time.

While I could tell the violinist is very accomplished, I actually would rather hear this without it. It seemed to drown out the woman's voice too much, and I just cannot forgive that, her voice was too beautiful. I think there was a reason such a strong violin presence was not in the original, and that it sounds merely superfluous in this. Just my opinion.

Ben! I love your violin addition to this piece. Jon Foreman of Switchfoot (my fav band!) wrote this song for their second album (and used for the movie), he's a talented guy alright. they used strings too!
