@ICreatedItAllForYou Actually, it is an original. This movie follows no previous Sherlock Holmes story or mystery. Granted the characters are not original, but the movie itself was.

None of the girls I know are interested in the plot and only pay attention to the mushy romance when theres too much of it. I think that there should be just enought to let you know its there, but it shouldnt be noticeable through the entire movie

@sakura9949 I agree completely. I'm a girl myself, but I hate all the "mushy romance" that seems to be so overwhelmingly present in most movies these days. Like you, I think there should be just enough so that you know it's there (as Love is still a part of life), but it shouldn't take up the whole movie and ruin the rest of the story. I liked the way they did it in this movie.

@rumirpr Thank you! However, that isn't to say that I don't enjoy romance movies or movies based on romance. It all depends on the formula. If it's too sickly sweet and/or unrealistic- or you just don't get why their love is SOO important- then it's crap. If it's touching and true and deeply felt, then, yes, I love it. My problem with some movies is that they try to portray a certain thing as love, when it's obviously not, & it's only 2 fiends that want to bang each other. That I don't care for.

Ironically enough, nowadays most movies have noooo balance in their themes whatsoever, but this movie totally captures it!!! Loved the movie and i want to see it again!!!
